Good morning from London on Monday 2nd March 2009. It's about 0940 and it's a beautifl sunny clear morning. It turned a bit chilly yesterday and was frosty overnight. Right now it's about 3c, but the sun is out, the sky is blue and it's a very nice morning.

Very light ground frost early this morning and the skies were completely clear but this did not last long as the clouds gradually built up but by 14:00 when they started to disperse again. There are now scattered clouds with quite a bit of blue in the sky. It has been sunny all through out the day apart from a few moments when the sun was covered the clouds. The temperature now is 10°C and the wind speeds are 8 mph WNW.

Dull and overcast with a very few brief flashes of sunshine in the late morning. If you blinked you would have missed it.
The temperature is now 9°C but feels like 5°C. The wind speeds are 18 mph SSW.

I'd like to sit and watch a snowfall one day or snow shower or what ever it's called, I'm yet to see or feel it.
Warm and humid, the kind of humid that you guys would hate: Sweat just pours off you if you work outside like me and if your inside and don't have aircon then you get all clammy.
But the pool in the backyard is a diversion as well as the surf beaches down the road.
32c, 95%humidity, slight northern breeze(which are gentle and slightly cooling, not cold like you guys have).
Oh, and it's the 4th day of Autumn.

Cloudy start and dull but by 09:30 it brightened up and became sunny until 12:00. Then by 14:10 it became sunny again and for a short time, there were some clear skies but the clouds came back again and became dull again at 14:45. The temperature now is 7°C but feels like 5°C and the wind speeds are 7 mph SW.
(Northen Gal, I would love some brought over to Essex at least 6 foot.

Keith Miller,
You say it is the 4th day of Autumn, do your seasons not follow the equinox/solstice? Our spring does not arrive until the 20th of March, the Vernal Equinox, I assumed you would be just the opposite and was not aware there was a difference, aside from the time difference.
As to your comment about the heat and humidity, I will take the cold to your abominable heat any day. I cannot stand high heat and humidity. During the brutal cold of winter, I remind myself how much I hate the extreme heat of summer, and it makes me feel better. The snow is wonderful to play in, so I hope you will someday get to experience it.

Harsh language there NG. I've never thought of my weather as abominable but I watch your freezing seasons and I guess brutal may well be appropriate in that case.
As an aside to the weather comments: I don't own a jumper/cardigan/wooly thing with buttons or zips/long pants/jeans/ugg boots/coat/ gloves/ warm head thingy/sensible shoes...
Just lots of pairs of shorts and light cotton shirts and what we call thongs but the rest of the world calls sandals.
Weather today: 31c/light breezes/no clouds/UV index/extreme/humidity a rather tasty 75%.
Beach weather ? ....Perfecto! Keep yer cold Northern weather thank you very much!

Umm NG, I'm not sure now that you ask.
I think they just made it up here..."Righto March the first seems like a good time to have Autumn and by crikey June the first would be a smashing time to begin Winter and lets kick off September by making it Spring and finally we'll make Dec the first Summer, there the jobs done."
Up in the North of our country they don't even have four seasons, they have only two: 'The Wet' and 'The Dry'.
True.
No Winter and no Autumn and a temp variation of about 5 or 6 degrees maximum year long, lovely place. I'd imagine you'd shrivel up in those sort of conditions but you'd probably like the southern parts in the high country where they have real winters and it snows.
Sat 7th and it's heading for 31c+ 80% humidity, blue skies, no breeze, lovely weather.
Have a great weekend you lot, I'm 10 hours ahead of you guys so I'd better hurry

A cloudy start with sunny spells slowly increasing through the morning and early afternon. The clouds have also been slowly dispersing as the day wears on. The temperature now is 11°C and there is no wind.
(I have seen the first signs of spring of a woodpigeon sitting on a nest in a tree and the birds seem to be happy today, twittering happily.)
