Cadbury's Roses, must be stopped!
Rainbow Posted Jan 6, 2002
Now how unlucky is this? I spent two weeks over the Chrismas peiod staring at the barely touched box of Roses and finally New Year comes and I give up chocolate as my New Year's Resolution (again).
I am doing really well and have survived 3 whole days without it when someone turns up with a belated Christmas present - a box of Quality Street, containing those much needed chocolates creams. I knew that temptation would eventually get the better of me, so I told my children to eat them all quick - what a waste!!

Let's try again, and see if the censors don't let this one through...

> "International Baby Food Action Network said the powdered formula could be responsible for the deaths of many thousands of babies who miss out on immunities passed on through breast milk and that firms are regularly flouting strict guidelines in a bid to boost their products.
All 16 baby milk manufacturers surveyed broke the guidelines and Nestlé were singled out as the worst offender."
Nestle make Quality Street. That's reason enough for me not to go without their particular variety of chocolate creams...

As per my earlier posting, am thoroughly enjoying my Roses.
I had no idea anyone actually liked the creams! I had to bribe the family saying they could only have the nutty ones if they had a cream one too.
Good old Cadbury's, they make the best chocolate

I like nut and caramel chocolates, but I also like fruit creams. The NEW! 'improved' (sarcastic cough) do taste the same- how many 'noisette' confections can logically be created?!
What'll happen now is that they will lose sales until finally no one buys Roses, and they'll have to retire the product and put it in the Bourneville Black Museum or something... that'd show em. Sigh... wouldn't do us much good tho. BTW, if Topic Celebrations are back by public demand, surely we can do the same for Roses- which after all are much more interesting.
(Hershey's? ACKACKACKKKKKKCKKCKCKffffffh. This is not the place!)

mo museum.....
first you will remane it "Cadbury's Roses Orignals". they try to sell as is nothing changed, but the price will be higher.
"Orginals" could also "Grannies Style" or "Requested"

They will do what everyone else does and state that "Due to massive public demand, we have brought back Roses Traditional" making out they brought them back because they were so popular, rather than the real reason which was because the replacements were so unpopular.
By that time I shall have defected to another 'supplier' and they will have lost me forever....

Much as I love the noisettey ones, I will concede that the balance of noisette to gloop does seem a bit pushed.
ASre the new quality street they introduced last year still going? I seem to remember that they were v odd things like 'Fruits of the Forest delight' - come *on*
If they won't bring back the old ones, what flavours would you like to see?

Hey!
OK, what is the point of getting rid of the strawberry creams? Aren't they the best ones? How dare they!
Personally, I like noisette triangles in 'Quality Street' better, but those are really the the only good ones in the pack! Without strawberry creams, 'Roses' are no longer the sweet they once were. They had the trademark rose on, for Heaven's sake!

New flavours for Roses? hmmmmmm...
How about "elderflower cream" or "lychee cream" or "butterscotch cream" or "cappuccino cream"
Can you tell I like the cream ones?
Will it be like other products that advertise "New and Improved"? The age old question is - "Why, if it is now 'improved', were you selling us a sub-standard product before?"

Aye, Cadbury's are not taking any emails at the mo, maybe they sensed that something in the email was not complementary. So write to them... on parchment, in blood, with a little parcel of bones and hair stuck with pins concealed inside the envelope.
Let's be public, and demanding.

Milk Tray Lime kegs were the best - followed by your lovely Roses creams(RIP)And how about the Fry's bar Five Centres which was like the Chocolate Creme which you can still get but had a different fruit flavour in every segment. This brings back some fondant memories (haha)
