If your life were a movie...

If your life were a movie - would people be throwing popcorn at each other or engrossed in the story-line? who would star in it (ie play you) and who would direct it? would it be a big box office success or a small arthouse number or perhaps go straight to video or maybe even a telemovie?

I'm not really here

My life has been filled with violence, bad language and sex. I'm guessing that's going to at least show in the cinemas, whether it's an interesting story or not. smiley - biggrin

I'd like Whatshisname to direct it, Tim someone? I think he did the new Planet of the Apes. Tim Burton?
Anyway, who would play me? Madonna. Rubbish actress, but I liked the character she played in Desparately Seeking Susan, so she'll do for me. smiley - smiley And she's a 'don't care what you think' kinda gal, like me. smiley - smiley

It would be a huge travelogue with adventurous bits and sad love stuff and witty one-liners.Bit like Indiana Jones or Out of Africa, even The African Queen Somebody between Judy Dench and a young Katherine Hepburn.to be me smiley - star (nice thought-provoking question)

If my life ever got interesting enough to make a film out of, It'd probably be a one-off Drama on ITV or BBC 2. I'd quite like David Suchet to play me, or Derek Jacobi with his hair dyed black. Both of them are very good actors. Unfortunately, by the time I'm old enough for a film to be made of my life, they'll both be well into retirementsmiley - doh Perhaps Daniel Radcliffe, if he can get over the handicap of being a terrible actor....smiley - winkeye

I think Jim Carey did a wonderful job of my life's story in Grinch.

If my life was a movie it would be on for half an hour at around 2 AM. I think it would be very surreal and with lots of crazy bad special affects. I would want it to be an animation produced by the same person who apparantly did Wallace and Gromit and Rex the Runt (a short comedy on BBC 2.)

mine would be kind of rambling and dramatic, so long as the boring bits were edited out...and, um I'm not sure what the ending would be yet although there have been lots of interesting episodes so far.

I'm probably up to the end of the first of the trilogy now, which would be the bittersweet tale of a little country gal who grows up searching for adventure and really wild things, who goes to the big city and meets lots of interesting characters along the way.

The second trilogy (which is in development atm) will hopefully be more of a travelogue, with lots of smiley - hugsmiley - earth action, and smiley - cheerupsmiley - peacedove

The third in the trilogy, will be all smiley - rocket and smiley - moon and smiley - star in a space adventure epic type thing... I hope.

Played by Ginger Rogers. A musical.

Well, if I had Stephen Dorff's looks... smiley - ok Unfortunately I got an unhappy medium between Leonardo Di Caprio and Martin Clunes.

*returns from checking facts on imdb*

That should have read Ralph Fiennes in Strange Days, not Stephen Dorff. Still, he seems to do all right... Actually, thinking about it, maybe The English Patient would be more fitting smiley - erm

Leading lady/gent? For me, gotta be Liz Hurley.

I'd say a young Lawrence Olivier would play my life quite well smiley - laugh
One thing is sure - the location and costume budget would be enormous.

9 - 5 with a somewhat more hirsuit Dolly Parton......Nah, really, it'd have to be set in a bar and scripted by Kevin Smith. I'd be played be a more handsome version of me for the cameras but I would have a cameo role as the postman. I'd be a good laugh but wouldn't change your life philosophy.....orsummat like that.

Encapsulated Life Pod Number 3- Muse of Gibberish

My movie would be a sixteen hour epic, charting my rise through the ranks at the Tiptree Jam company in rainswept Essex, England. Beginning as a humble pot cleaner, I quickly rise to the exhaulted heights of assistant pencil sharpner. The film would chart my progress through the dark days when we ran out of biscuits, and also the time when there was nothing on television one night. I would be played by either Al Pacino or Rolf Harris. My faithful companion guinea pig could be played by one of the cast from "Tales of the Riverbank". If, however, they were unavailable for some reason, a hairbrush tied to a yoghurt pot on a roller skate would make a useful substitute.

Russell Crowe seems to have done a good job with one Nobel prize winner. If all goes to plan, he can turn his attentions to me. Apparently, he decided not to meet the subject until after the filming, which would be a shame. I'd love to be able to sit down and have tea with him while he psychs me out.
