I'd suggest for attempt no. 4 that you make your initial post sometime on a Friday evening, which seems to be a quiet time for ask h2g2, and immediately afterwards, you reply to many other threads to endure that the new attempt gets pushed down the list. Once there are 25 threads with more recent replies, the odds of survival without second posting should increase.
Alternatively, try making a post asking for help on a problem so obscure that a reply is highly unlikely.

I think I've only had one thread ignored on ask H2G2. The one I thought would get ignored (about an obsure manchester band from the 60s) did get an answer - that someone didn't know anything.

There are already threads in Ask h2g2 with only one posting. A search for "codex floriae" will bring you to one, for example.
