A boost of confidence from the cadet course i was just on, will tell more later, just now I need to catch up on a week away from the real world.

I'm back to normal. With the exception that due to exam studies I only see girls on friday and saturday nights. So very small chances.

I went out to do some Irish dancing in a pub tuesday, as I had also been the tuesday before. That Italian Girl I mentioned said she wanted to dance with me, as her flatmate had told her I was a really good dancer. That was odd. However it seems afterwards she thought I was actually a rather bad dancer. But perhaps her flatmate did actually like my dancing.

I have written it, and its almost essay length, its over a 1000 words long. I typed it in notepad, so before I post it up I will spellcheck it and make sure it actully makes sense

any girl really worth bothering with wouldnt give a butt monkeys about whether you can dance or not!why do i get the feeling youre going for the shallow superficial type as opposed to 'real'girls?

I must say, girls' opinions of certain things can often be clouded heavily by how much they like you or not. If a girl says she likes your dancing, it's quite likely it's a way of saying she likes *you*.

I forget what she was talking about, but my first ever girlfriend was very complimentary about a couple of things and claimed to like things I liked (Lift lemon tea in one case, I believe) and then when we got together properly it transpired that she wasn't entirely expressing an honestly-held opinion...

After all, how many times have you given compliments that you haven't entirely meant - say you said you thought something was brilliant when you only thought it was reasonably good - because you wanted to find something to compliment someone about?

well I promised further up to tell you lot about my week. It is very long, so feel free to skip it.

I let one of my best mates read it instead of having to explain everything seperatly, apprently there was enough info in it that i didn't require anymore interogation on what happened.

here goes ...



The beginning of it all, would be after I had a arrived at the cadet training center where my course was being held. Then later on another group of cadets arrived. Among them (and in charge of them) was a girl the same age as me. Who I did recognise but couldn't exactly place. Spoke to her, asked about when I had last met her, and what her name was.

Placed her and made sure not to forget the name I had just been told. Then we started joking about the last time and some of the things that had happened back then. (2 years ago, drill competition training for nationals, I was in the unarmed squad, she was in the armed squad)

anyway we got on really well, then she turned out to be a complete flirt with everyone, though a little more so with me than the others.

Then through the week I found myself to fancy her a little, but not a lot, which I was happy with and just kept on with things. Some people are observant and realised that I fancied her (though one of them was flawed in one of the arguments used to say so) and seriously I denied it, jokingly I agreed n said who didn't fancy her. Spent a lot of the week when we were in close proximity and not having conversations with other people, hugging or occasionally holding hands. At one point in the week having seen an action that was causing a lot of laughter between her and the other girls I asked her to explain what it was about. Well the result of it was that I had my eyes closed, and she quickly sucked on my finger. Apparently she had told the girls about it earlier but not done it on anyone.

Then we invented a random greeting just from being silly sitting down bored between things. one of us would start it then the other would mirror each step in return. Blow a kiss, stick tongue out, flick tongue about.

Other than that we usually sat together at breakfast and diner, and when at the training center (she was doing a cook steward course somewhere on the naval base the training center is located, I was sailing from a port just across the river). We provided each other with hugs when we needed them due to feeling a little crap, my feeling crap was usually tiredness. (male dorm is just one big room with all the male cadets in it, and they don't shut up early enough, so I never got as much sleep as I would have liked).

Apparently she only has shame in her pinky and that is also apparently the only place where she feels the cold. Also she is "sweet and innocent (until proven guilty)"

At the end of the week getting onto the bus I got a hug, then someone shouted that I deserved more than that so I got a very quick kiss on the lips. quick since she had to get onto the bus very quickly to catch a train. that kept me happy for the rest of the day until I got home.


Another memorable moment, was when we were let out to a beach one evening. The staff took us to let off a little steam and keep us out of the way while there was a meeting for some sort of committee. Hugged her a few times, but one of them was just really really nice. I was just standing in the little play park, mayhem going on around, feeling tired, just letting the world go by. She came up and gave me a hug my head into her shoulder, if I had felt like it, the thought crossed my mind, and had there not been cadets from my unit I may have, kissed her neck.

Another was when everyone was in the tv room, nearer the end of the week, and there was lots of noise, and one of the cadets was playing with a blown up condom, and I decided that we(being the senior cadets) would be better off out of the room should one of the staff come in, esp since she was the source of the condom originally. so we left the room, and as we did I realised how it would look that we just got up at the same time and left the room, so we ended up with an entourage trying to follow us.

we then went into the room opposite (lecture theatre) where there were a couple of people and I was going to keep walking towards them, but she went to the corner that was most hidden from the door we just went in. then had a hug (this was all from her initiative and actions, though no words were actually spoken). at which point had I wanted to I could have had a snog, but I knew that a lot of others had followed so I stepped back and saw them at the window in the door, then before I had any opportunity to make any decisions, cleaning stations was announced. So I got the cadets to their tasks.

one of the cadets from my unit kept making comments to me about "whats happening with you and xxxx" and after me not having done anything "how often does a girl behave like that around you". Yes I really want advice from a cadet younger than me. I knew that I could have been more assertive and got further, but I didn't want to, based on the fact that a number of the cadets on that course were from my unit and I didn't particularly want to give them a show. Also there was no where to be alone from other cadets that the chance of staff catching us was low. Further from that, I was just having fun, knowing that it would only be a couple of days more then I would have to go home, and that if I went further I would get more attached and the leaving would be so much harder.

The cadets from the unit said about how I behaved differently on that course to how I normally behave at home. I think that’s because I went to have fun, and they saw be for the whole days and not just a couple of hours, and it is the way I act whenever I go on courses. The one I mentioned making the comments before, made comment about how on a boating week in at a unit near us, I had ignored everyone and been boring despite there being good looking girls. Yeah, that was different there was no one my age on that to talk to, the oldest girl was 15, the only one to fancy me was 12, and I put that down me having been separated and mysterious compared to the others, and the writing letters to my best mate to pass the time. I was also preoccupied with fancying a girl at that time, unlike now where I like a couple of girls, but just really ain't that bothered.

So the difference, I was away on a course where I intended to have fun, I found someone I already knew, who was up for a bit of fun, and really has no shame.




Though since getting home, have texted her, and she asked if I could get myself on a course at the end of may, and get one of the female cadets from my unit to come with me cos the two of them had got on really well, and that she was really missing the both of us. Unfortunately I can't go then as the only course I could request a place on then, I have already applied for later on in the year, nearer the end of summer.

whoa, i have just been talking to her online. Decided to show her the file that has what i posted here in it.

She said that she has been crying and said "thank you so much 4 sayin what u said about me"

wow. shame she lives so damned far away. and technically is seeing someone at the moment.
