I was out saturday, getting really pissed. I was chatting to a girl and managed to get her phone number suprisingly enough. I was anything but sober at the time, and thought she would have been more annoyed with me. But I'll give her a call later today and ask her out. Worth a shot.

Also found out yesterday there's a spanish(espanish?) girl in my apartment complex, with a degree in physics. And she seems nice and friendly.

It's been hard trying to get her off my mind, but I've been enjoying myself hanging out with my mates last night and over the weekend - and I reckon that's the main thing. If I'm at peace with myself and happy, then that's bound to improve matters.

So let us say you were talking to some girl in a club/pub, and you wanted to kiss her. What would be the best way to go about that? Assuming there are no touching her hair, looking/not looking in your eyes kind of signals. These things just don't come naturally to me.

Lope an arm round her shoulder. If she turns away/shrugs you off/slaps you/calls her boyfriend then you're on to a loser. If she leans against you/turns her head towards you, sorted.

Yeah, try something less drastic first, see how she takes it.

You build up to it.
Earlier on before you get to trying a kiss, see how she reacts to your physical contact, say when your walking through the pub, lightly guide her through with an arm gently round her waist. If this goes well add more contact through the night. If youre stood up, move closer to her when you fidget or move, if she doesnt move away its a good sign...
Eye contact is all though. They dont lie when they say the eyes are the windows to the soul.
When going for the kiss, Id look into her eyes, at her lips, at her eyes again as I move in putting my arms around her...

This is how it should work.
However, 90% of the time I just get f*cked and remember dancing with some girl and pulling her, I can hardly ever remember how I pulled them, they just appear at a point in my memories. Sometimes I dont even remember that. It's routine for me to check through my phone numbers in my mobile every so often just to see if any new ones have turned up, I have phoned girls I cant remember anything about, even where I met them before.
This takes some very skilled blagging.

I found a number in my phone today, maybe my weekend wasnt as unfruitful as I remembered, I think I checked my phone last week and I dont think that number was there. Gemma P... Who the hell is Gemma P? Theres a couple of blurred bits on Sunday night, but I thought I had most of my memories from this weekend.

Looks like Im gonna have to get some credit and try to find out.

Seeing as the chances of me ever seeing her again were slim to say the least (this being London and all) I concluded that I had nothing to lose last night and I might as well try the phone number of that girl I met last week one last time. And it was finally answered by another human being - just not the one I was expecting... a different girl entirely.

Unless of course I was so drunk when I met her I remembered her name completely wrong... being charitable, quite a few drinks had been drunk when she gave me her number - it *might* have been a genuine mistake.

But I think not. Thing is, the kind of girls that flirt with blokes and generally give them the runaround don't normally come near me...
