School.
Read it over and over and you'll notice that it looks really weird.

Have you ever had a competition at work when you chose a word for the day and the winner was the person who managed to encorporate it seemlessly into a conversation with a client/customer?
Favourites were always words like flange or gusset.
Try it if your bored.

I could act all stuffy and be offended that my name amuses you. But it amuses me also, so I won't bother. I have a friend whose cousin is called Peter Falloon. I've also heard of a Mr. Godbehere, a Mr. Trump, Christopher Slack and the Bland family.

I used to live near a place in Suffolk called 6 Mile Bottom.
Always got a chuckle when commuting to work.

There's two other places in East Anglia I know, one called Three Holes and a road called Cat's Bottom.
I've also known some funny names. Mr Backholer and a Miss Taken were to good ones.

'Halifax' is funny for some reason. Near us there is a Hazely Knob. And you're familiar, no doubt, with Chipping Sodbury, but there's also Old Sodbury and Little Sodbury.
For sheer silliness, you can't beat Barton-in-the-Beans, Minchinhampton, Drayton-le-Clay, Wormelow Tump or Lower Slaughter.
People: I know a Miss Slaughter, and someone whose surname is Bunney. They're nothing like their names. I'd hate to work in anything to do with the public- wouldn't you just collapse if you had to talk to a Miss Lusty?

At school I was taught my a Mr. Pratt,
And (this is the absolute truth I swear)
A girl from Hong Kong joined our school whilst I was there. Obvious on HK she had a chinese name but when she came to England her parents decided on an English name. That name was Halley.
"Not so bad!" I hear you cry, well what makes it is that the family name was Butt.
So this poor girl, for about 4 years at school got a neverending stream of fish jokes that 99% of the time she didn't understand. I should feel sorry but for some reason I don't....
Rama
p.s. For those slow out there her name was Halley Butt (Halibut?.. Oh foget it!)

Whoever gave her that name must have been a bit of an ass!

There's a road near Rochdale called Wham Bottom Lane. Well it makes me laugh. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned poo.
Incidentally, somebody mentioned the woody and tinny word sketch - I remember it, it was definitely Python.
