Hello!
I want to create an entry on innately funny words from around the world. You know, words that are funny without any real reason.
So any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Don't know why, but I find "spiggot" amusing.

I think "pants" and "monkey" are just rather funny for no real reason.

frippery, kibosh, finagle, discombobulate...

Any word can sound funny if you think about it a certain way.

Sometimes I will suddenly realize that a simple word like dog will seem funny at the moment.

I don't know why that happens, it just does.

Right now I am laughing at the word bulb

I know you probably think I am very strange

But I consider that a comment

Now that I think of it, innate is a pretty funny word.

Or innately too I guess

Any (English) word that starts with 'sq' or 'fl', especially if more than two syllables

Square kind of blows that theory, starts with 'sq' but I can't even smirk at it.

I don't think there are any real rules. Here are 2 more:

"Lugubrious" - can't be said with a straight face. "Phenomenon" because so many people get tongue-tied on it.

I always found that one to be funny

Crux always raises a smile.
mastication (to chew food) always raises a laugh, but their could be a reason for that.

I always Boomerang was funny (but you have to say it with a Neil from the Young Ones kind of way).
