How strange. I am completely voluntarily listening to Phil Collins - 'Take Me Home'.
I blame nostalgia again (specifically memories of sitting in my parents' car circa 1985.)

I'm delighting my ears with a bit of Charlotte Hatherley - The Deep Blue - Cousteau.
Funny, (reading the backlog)......everything DOES sound like clodplay these days. Is that the same Mitch Benn that does the Radio 4 programmes?
Can't stand Phil Collins. Perhaps if we'd shared the back seat of your parents car...........

Yep, it's the R4 chap.

Snow Patrol - Eyes Open - It's beginning to get to me.
You know who this track (and a few others on the album) sound like? It's been bugging me for weeks now, and it came in a sudden burst of inspiration
Deacon Blue!!! (That's a good thing BTW, as they were super)

"Beg me, and then tell me how to love you
Like anybody else would
I know you're risking failure
Go run for cove
You better start love her, so much you’re moving on, and on"
