That's different, but they are even selling little boots on ebay. To match little plastic coats to keep the rain off.

Actually, Asla would love one. She's afraid of rain. She's the kind of dog who will hide in the pond until it stops raining.

my boy is Ruud and he would join her in the pond. He is very funny when it rains he just puts his nose outside the door then looks back as if to ask me to turn it off. He also doesen't appear to like wind either.

I dont have a dog. I have a cat called Genny. She's a puddle of fur, and she hates the rain. She is curled up even now, while it's not raining, on a chair near our gas fire. Pure bliss. Wish I could fit completely on a chair.

Had to laugh at your cat in the chair what a lovely life to lead. No worries about excersise or diet as you say bliss.
Our dog has just started to lie full length on the sofa when we are not using it. He even puts his head on a cushion.

aaaw, you have snow? We have had a completely grey winter, with no snow but a lot of rain and wind. I have frozen so much, and it's not gratifying unless you're freezing in snow!

First snow we had all winter - before that, it's been rain literally every day, I live in the rainiest city in Germany
But I'll be glad when it turns warmer again, heating still doesn't work properly and I'm freezing in here... Literally, at times; had to scrape a thick layer of ice off the inside of the bedroom windows. I'm not talking ice flowers, I mean it was as thick as the windowpane itself in places

Your bluddy heating is still not working!!!!!!????? It will be spring before they fix it.
Our dog was never allowed on the furniture until he was a little bit ill then he was spoilt and allowed to cuddle up because he felt ill. Now he just takes advantage and if we make him sleep on the floor he pretends that he has aches and pains and limps when he first gets up.

No - landlord says it's my responsibility. I finally tracked down the chimney sweeo, but they've only got one for three cities and he never answers the phone Better be fixed by the 7th, can't have it this cold when I have visitors
Awww, poor doggie He has you wrapped around his proverbial little finger

A chimney sweep, now there I can't help. They are supposed to be lucky. Sounds to me you are lucky if you can find one.
Yes our dog has us wrapped around his paw. I would go so far as to say Doggies Rule in da house.

maybe that's why it's lucky to see one - and blow him a kiss, he might be more likely to come back
Our dogs never ruled the house, that's what we have cats for

Daizzy Posted Jan 27, 2007
yeah, cats rule the house. Dogs have a family. Cats have staff.

Cookiecate Posted Jan 27, 2007
How true that is but in this case our dog secretly sees us as his staff. I hadn't thought about it before, but now I do all is becoming clear.

aaaah. Maybe your dog is a cat in disguise! Get a ball for him and throw it. Tell him to fetch and watch for his facial expression. If he grins or goes to get it, he's a dog with schizophrenic thoughts. If he gives you a disdained glance then turns his back on you, he's a cat in disguise and should be avoided at all costs. Cats are very manipulative so don't go near them when possible.

The rain is falling steadily in heavy drops upon the patio flagstones. Strange wavering shadows are cast upon small rippling puddles and the cool breeze carries the scent of fireplace smoke throughout the canyon.
A friend lets out a comic tarzan yell as he makes his way in with more firewood...

Cookiecate Posted Jan 28, 2007
Well, I tried the ball thing. He went to fetch it but refused to give it to me back. He looked at me as if to say, why should I give this to you when you just throw it away again?
cynthesis a lovely picture/atmosphere as usual.

hmmmn... maybe your dog is a secret hybrid of a cat and a dog. I think someone secretly stole your dog and implanted a cat's brain in it!

Cookiecate Posted Jan 29, 2007
You could be right. The police have just been around to ask if I have heard anything strange going on next door. Strange? Officer I said, apart from the gurgling, screaming and general banging sounds I haven't heard anything strange.

Daizzy Posted Jan 30, 2007
hehe! The family next door have realised that your dog is a hybrid, and they are terrified out of their minds! And with good reason, I'd say.
