Best one I ever read
Happiness is making the most of what you have
Riches is making the most of what you've got
I also think it is worth bearing in mind that Donne had a point about no man being an island and you should always bear in mind that other people have to share the world with you - so buy a Big Issue, put your shopping trolley back in the bay (it's hardly difficult to walk all of twenty yards) and if you live in London try to look where you're going for a change .

Life is a minestrone served up with parmesan cheese,
Life is a cold lasagne suspended in deep-freeze.

They must have done. People die all the time, all over the world, from natural or unnatural causes. The fact that I can't name anybody who's died recently is totally irrelevant and also totally understandable.

My previous posting was in response to post 180. That'll teach me to read through to the end.
And, Roymondo, the line is '*Death* is a cold lasagna suspended in deep freeze'.

I am committing an offence if I wear totally transparent clothes?
Am I living the perfect trouble-free life if thoughts like that are keeping me awake at night?
Is the "totally" in the question superfluous?
What's the difference between superfluous and extraneous?

If I eat a plate full of antipasto and then a plate full of pasta, shouldn't I feel hungry again?

Don't drink a lot of wine when you're already suffering from vertigo
