Brunettes and cigarettes (mostly the fact i haven't given either of them up for new year yet)

Actually I was very impressed with myself that I didn't reach for the ciggies during either tax return or not-being-shorlisted mini-dramas!
I hadn't meant to give up smoking - I had about 2 on New Years Day (well, after waking up), and haven't wanted one since.
Strange.

Well done.
This bloke was telling me about the alternative things that the woman on that Marks and Spencers advert could be saying. Didn't make me smile, made me nearly cry with laughter.

The one that has a black background, there's lots of delicious looking food shown, cranberries and cake etc. There's a womans voice narrating it, saying something like: "This isn't just cake...this is chocolate, covered in delicious cream....Choose M&S."
My favourite alternative that the bloke said was: "These aren't just handcuffs...these are manacles of satisfying pleasure...choose S & M."

I totally forgot to
I lost it.
I forgot to search for it.
After that I did not know how to search.
I forgot that there's no need for searching it.
It is there,
it is everywhere,
just turn my senses to where the sun is,
like a sunflower does.
Even plánts are wiser then I am.
Very depressing conclusion

My mom and I went shopping togetherand toured about in our VERY small town.- She likes to take the longest routes to our destination points because she can't help but view what people are doing to their Historic Homes. (She's involved with the local Architechtural Conservancy Committee) I call her the Chief of the Hysterical Society! Anyway, Picture my 76 yr. old Mom and me (with a broken shoulder) thrying to get in and out of a car in weather that is pouring down sleet just so that we mayventure into the hardware store. Yes we both love hardware- drills, lightbulbs doorknobs, kitchen utensils etc. etc. all at our finger tips. Walking out equipped with gadgets whic will enable us to rule our roosts.

I just got this by email today and, because it made me smile - I had to share .....
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4754996
same story but told for kids ....
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/kids/2005/03/owen.html
I have checked it out on Snopes and they verify the story.
It is a real story that illustrates our differences don't matter much when we need the comfort of another. We could all learn a lesson from these two creatures. Look beyond the differences and find a way to walk the path together.

Music from The Who (sixtees, seventees) that I heard again at Live Aid 2005. Great, Great Song, especially their life performance.
Trying to find a life version at Kaaza.
"Won't get fooled again". One of the very best songs in those times.

Ooh yes. And great VFM on pub juke boxes as it lasts ages - but the air guitar playing at the bar can raise the odd look.
