What made you smile today?

An escalator in central station, in particular the green light horizon the shone out from underneath the stairs as my eyes rose to meet the everchanging vanishing points. Nobody tried to sell me anything either, or i may just not have noticed.

My boss has a bad habit of saying something, then saying: "Like that" and doing an impression. I almost always say to her: "Like what...?" to take the mick. Today she said: "Like that" again and then that she'd shoot herself if she said it again. Immediately after she did it, I said: "How will you do it?" So she mimed putting a gun in her mouth and said: "Like that..."
Made me smile for a bit.

Quite a lot - it was a refreshingly amusing day at work. Plenty of random comments & p**s taking.

Getting into to work and finding out that everyone else in my branch room is on holiday today...oh the bliss! Able to finish my work in piece and quiet before I go on holiday myself.
[I love them all, but you know how it can be when you are really busy and everyone else just wants to talk]
Plus, I get a little more time on hootoo too

Taking back a Christmas book I'd bought which was faulty, and getting store credit, and exchanging that for 2 fab hard back books amazingly reduced in the sales, including "The Top 10 of Everything" which I'm currently perusing.

Oh, and the tickets that I'd wanted to stick down Dai's stocking arrived - to the Little Briatain show next year.
(I'd been aiming For a theme of tickets - Trivium for my goth son, cinema vouchers for my shallow daughter...)
