*ignores the fighting*

Another annoying thing about Narnia - How come the beaver gets called Mr Beaver? What are the other beavers called then? Why hasn't he got a name like Mr Tumnus has?

Good question, Lucky Star, I'd never thought of that. Maybe he's the chief beaver?

..and if I'd been the wicked white witch, and I knew of a prophecy that would spell my downfall if 4 human children sat on the thrones at Cair Paraval, I think I'd kill the first one I found, not send him home to get the others!

But if she remained in power until all 4 sat on the thrones, then 3 wouldn't be any good, surely...

Dai the Death, "My other sink's a Porsche"

Well I saw it this week and honestly found it quite underwhelming, just something about the movie that did not come together but I realise this is a personal opinion.

It occurred to me that it was filmed in New Zealand as the local extras where used to this sort of thing after Lord of the Rings, and maybe even had there own costumes!smiley - biggrin

BTW while waiting 30 minutes for the film to start watching trailers for cars, dog food and the like I did catch the POTC2 trailer, looks brilliant, can't wait for it to come out, oh yeah MArch of the Peguins looks worthwhile as well.

Wow, this thread is full of removed posts, which makes it incredibly difficult to follow. I do find your plot hole theories interesting though, keep up the good work El and Lucky smiley - winkeye

I can be very annoying company when watching a movie, though. I'm always pointing out the flaws and non-sequiturs. My kids refuse to watch horror movies with me cos I spoil the tension!

Gnomon - time to move on

I saw the Narnia film on Saturday. It was excellent. Everything about it was just right. Remember, this is a film for small children, aged 7 - 12, the intended audience of the book.

Valid point about the age groups of the books originally Gnomon, and one which I had forgotten, thing is I wonder if the film is actually aimed at that age group?
