It seems that these games are a little thin on the ground. I suggest that we encourage new members by starting out with a really simple game. Just something really, really simple so that it's obvious to anyone what is going on.
For example, we should keep the number of trains on the Circle Line to one, until it becomes unavoidable to increase them (for example when a Bank Loop is invoked), and restrain the Wimbledon clause. We can also explain our moves.
In this spirit, I will start with:
Epping
(Please try not to follow with Lancaster Gate or anywhere west of White City. We are trying to keep this SIMPLE remember.)

Hi Norton,
Yeah, that's fine, though it might be worth pointing out that you're doing it as a simple follow-through of the chain (just in case there are any total beginners here), which is why you didn't go for Morden.
(Or are you building up to a reverse flip?)

A reverse spin flip with enhanced Overhauser effect, as a matter of fact. But you spotted it, so I'll have to go for Finsbury Park instead.

Oki Doki,
Home straight to Holborn then. Nothing fancy and leaves a few options without being dangerous.

btw, I am assuming we have removed the poison spikes from the elevators at Regents Park? It's a little harsh to beginners the first time ...

I nearly have tears in my eyes! I never dreamed I'd ever get to invoke the War Provision Rationing Rules of 1942! I could kiss you all!
Finbury Park!
I just came over all wobbly.
(The point being that it's on the Piccadilly line. Forget about the Victoria line bonus; you can't have that with WPRR1942)

...which allows me a second turn (sorry, I had to correct my nick and I'm still gasping from the blissful serendipity)
Paddington
Please note: This opens up the possibilities of using (or at least alluding to) Brunel's Reticulated Occidental Transit Transposition (Pre-1948). And how often does THAT six-year stretch come into play?

Is it too late for a complete beginner to join in? This game has been intriguing me for quite some time.

Sure, welcome aboard Porridge Bird.
I am going for:
Putney Bridge
(as this is supposed to be a beginners' game, I won't go into the maths, but I have used my velocity around the Circle Line to perform a lateral shift.)

Whenever and if it's ever my turn, I'll start by getting out of America. (It was getting boring anyway...) If there's no rules against, I'll start by taking the plane and arriving at...
Heathrow Terminal 4.

Aha, I see you have been reading Fletchers article to J. Mor. Cres. Res. I disagree with some of his conclusions, but it is an interesting hypothesis.

I've never read the thing, but if it annoys anybody I'll keep doing it. (Asian-Americans are like that.)

Flame me if you must, but;
Upminster Bridge
[I'm assuming this hasn't contravened the Limehouse Convention, though that's never been quite clear in my head since they resumed off-peak Barking services]

Gee... I wonder where everybody is...
As long as no one else is going to do anything, can I move to Acton Town?
