Canary Wharf is a good move to come in there with. I direct you to the top of the page, where the Weymouth convention is discussed. DLR is counted as part of the network except for in 'pedant' games, where only full-time tube stations are eligable. Since this is a 'full board' game, though, your move is perfectly acceptable.
I still wouldn't include the surface railway lines that sometimes appear on the map, such as Hackney Central and the wonderfully named Finchley Road and Frognal, as these do not appear on all maps and can cause nid, or even double nid if you're unlucky.
I'm going for
Brixton
Hold the bus for me, there's a good chap.

I possible cannot be seen as a newcomer to the game but thought I'd give my as to the St. George of Pembridge ruleset. While I can see no direct ruling disallowing it in a beginner's game, my personal opinion is that it would be putting an unfair burden on the newcomers. It's often a bl**dy nightmare even for experienced gamers to make sense of - Circle line wilds notwithstanding.
Now that I'm here, I might as well go for a move of
Hyde Park Corner
