Norton II

Since I've recently had my first entry accepted to the Edited Guide, I thought it was about time that I wrote a little intro. So here it is.
Born 1970, Wallasey. Haven't died yet. In between I was brought up in Wales, (I consider myself Welsh) went to polytechnic in Preston(great town, crap poly) and, by a combination of circumstances far too complicated to explain on this page, finally fetched up in Liverpool.
Although I was born Gareth John, I chose the handle Norton II in tribute to Norton I, Emperor of the United States. (A fine, unjustly forgotten statesman whose proclamations can be found in Emperor Norton's Archives. )
Currently trying to get a PhD at Southampton University.
Future projects include guide entries on quantum computing and Charles Bukowski.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
