Due to a new release of DNA (mainly the usual 'under-the-bonnet' changes) you might be unable to log into h2g2 for approximately two hours from 07:00 on 22 March (tomorrow, at time of writing). We apologise for any inconvenience.

Traveller in Time imagining messages slow moving inside the server
"You posted to this thread before the informing of the new message reached your message list, by posting to it you created a second informing about new conversations of this thread. "
Trying to decode what he just said.
"I did the other thing: I read two of the announcement threads before they appeared on my message list, they showed as if I was not informed. On the bottom they did say [subscribe to this conversation] where I expected to find [unsubscribe from this conversation] as I am informed of the Announcement Forum.
This stupid button clicker subscribed to both of them immediately, and to no surprise both showed up double on my list.
The only way to create a single thread is open the thread, unsubscribe, use the button to go back to the conversation and subscribe again. "
Rereading again
"Still not very clear .
Hopefully the tweak they announced in this thread will deal with this phenomena. "

New date announced.
April 1st; which oddly enough is known in France as " for all the " day...
All seems OK at this end so far.
