The site was working again almost exactly at 10 am Central European Time, not GMT - so it was all over an hour earlier.
They still haven't changed the date in the first post though.

Can I congratulate the team for not overrunning the downtime window for once. I think it was back up by 8:55.

Even for my own journals the 'latest posting' is showing as blank, ie as though I have never posted in that convo. As it includes my own journals, I think its worth logging out for the day and giving up.

Just to say, I've edited the original posting because of the incorrect date given. Thanks to those people who alerted us to this.

Try it now. I think I've fixed the problem.

I still have the problem Jim, still its not such a big deal and it will mean I get some stuff done today that I have been putting off instead of being on here.

Kaz - what precisely is wrong with the list? Before the fix, it wasn't showing that you had posted to a conversation. Now it is, so there's definitely a bug there that we've fixed. Is there a second problem with the information in the list, and if so, which particular conversations are showing up the problem?

Researcher U1025853 Posted Mar 23, 2006
Before the fix I was able to see my latest post, sometimes delayed but it appeared eventually or showed an older one. From today there is nothing in my latest post, which is unlikely when it is my own journal, ie I did the first post and yet it shows me as never having posted.
I am talking about the column headed 'latest post' which shows the latest posting of the person whos page it belongs to. I can't describe this anymore precisely, I am afraid.

Researcher U1025853 Posted Mar 23, 2006
Maybe I can explain it further. Before the fix in the column headed 'latest posting' it would sometimes show a previous posting rather than the actual latest, which would catch up eventually.
Now it is showing me as never having posted in various convos. Convos where I have made many postings sometimes over a period of months, such as the 'eye eye' convo.
So its not the case of having to wait for things to catch up and show the last one of two of my postings, it is showing me as having made no postings at all.
Yesterday, it may not have showed yesterdays postings but it was indicating the days before. Now it is not indicating any postings at all.
Now I really don't think I can explain it more than that. Is no-one else seeing nothing at all in the 'latest posting' column even when they know they have posted in it?

"There are some irregular <?> phenomena surrounding the -1 new posts.
One is that new threads can appear with (no new posts) no posting no replies. (currently some ten minutes Lagged) I guess what you are seeing is one of the many possible combinations of beeing late informed of a thread. "

Oooh I just noticed a change, on my front page I still have the problem, but if i press 'more conversations' then its okay. So if I press more convos I finally get to see my postings under the column 'latest post' again. So I shall work from the more convos page rather than my front page for a while.
Weird.

TiT, it seems nearly sorted now. But it wasn't showing postings made months previously, not just recent postings.

I've seen that lack of indication of own posts a lot. However, it has been when the site was showing everything very delayed (up to 4 or 5 hours at times). I don't recall any when the site was genuinely up to speed (and not just pretending to be as it was on a previous fix to those fields!).
Key: Complain about this post
