Poor old Sunderland, that's *another* game to add to their already overcongested backlog of fixtures.
The Blades played a weak first half, and then a battering second period. Overall I feel relaxed about our run in to the Premiership

I went to the Sunderland-Blades game. Good match.
Oh, and to paraphrase a Norweigan bloke:
"Neil Warnock, paul Heaton< Def Leppard, Brian Deane, GreyDesk- your boys took one hell of a beatinG!

oh yeah, my local boys were clinging on for dear life in the second. And those six minutes of stoppage time were heart-rending. The moment two minutes before kick off when someone spotted Alan Shearer in the executive box was fun, as the Sunderland fans realised the first chance this season to hurl abuse at him, there being no Tyne_Wear derby this season. Hence a verse of "shearer is a Wer" to the tune of "my old man's a dustman, in addition to other old favourites dusted off for the occassion like "Niall Quinn's Disco pants" and "Oster Wonderland" (He used to be shite/but now he's alright/walking in an Oster wonderland)

You'll be struggling to replicate that if the Black Cats ever play Scunthorpe.

Paul heaton was born in Birkwenhead, grew up in Sheffield and Surrey, supporting the blades from his days in Sheffield, and in fact joining in hooligan activities with the Blades Business Crew. He didn't get to hull until the early eighties after going round Europe with his mate Trotsky, and Trotsky wanted to live by the coast, while Paul wanted to move back to yorkshire, so they had a shortlist of Hull and Scarborough, Hull winning.
How sad is it that i know all that?

I'd be even more impressed if you could tell me where 'Birkwenhead' is.

Hello kind sirs
this weeks results should of seen me get that dam Tranmere-Millwall result. I know that all predictions are final but i, in defence, did not make thoughs, predictions. well yes i did but over the phone to my football illiterate friend. you see my internet server was down that Sat morn so i had to direct my friend by a mobile. He of course took my wording of Tranmere nothing and sheffeild nothing as putting NOTHING. This plea may be pointless but i do take this comp seriously.

Ach, Todd, I feel your pain. I did my best with what you're illiterate friend gave me. My thinking was that you had given me two scorers in those games, who happen to be Tranmere and SheffU players, so you were predicting at least one goal for each of the teams. Had Tranmere won and/or SheffU drawn then I would have had to make some sort of decision about awarding points. But as that didn't happen I felt confident in the points that I awarded.
Oh and it's good to know that you're taking this competition seriously. That's what I like, competitive players... YAY
Key: Complain about this post
