They're generally named whatever the current calendar maker (first Avenging Washcloth, then smiley - dragonqueen, now Happy Nerd) wants to call them--they don't often keep their names more than 1 year, though, so far, I don't think.

Before the calendar took off in its own right, there was talk that the months should henceforth be known as:

Awful, Worse, Boing, Ting, Parp, Whoop, Wheep, Phwoar, Wow, Crunch, Urgh and Krimbo.

which then descended, in that way Thingite threads do, into a meandering debate about Popular music under the new order...

Hi Pingu,

>>>> Are the Thinigte Months given any special names?

That's an excellent question. The answer is yes. Every Thingite month is special, so each one gets a special name. I personally agonize over each month's naming, asking myself "Is the name distinctive enough?" "Is it so different that the other months will tease it?" "Does the name capture the spirit, the essence of the month?" But then suddenly it's time to post the code for the calendar, and one can only hope for the best.smiley - winkeye

Thank you for your question.
