Plans for the H2G2 Movie

I have this nagging feeling we have met in another forum, in another time, on another planet...(I'm not kidding)
But anyway, I think this move would be good for the movie, which I hear is being produced by the politically-correct Disney Studios.

And don't call me Brittas!

Disney? Oh, great, so we get a Hitch-Hiker's full of subliminal pro Nazi imagery? The Vogons are the good guys? Only Gag Halfrunt could think of such a thing... smiley - winkeye

I don't have much to say right now (subliminal Nazis messages? Where?) except that at the time I posted this, it was exactly 4:50 AM in New York and 9:50 in London.

I'm not surprised it's Disney, to be honest. After all, this is about the only film where Mickey Mouse could have a speaking role! smiley - bigeyes

I can see it now: 'Special guest appearance - Mickey as Frankie Mouse, pan-dimensional being and Brockian ultra-cricketer.'

I always Imagined the H2G2 movie sets to be like those on the SCI-FI series LEXX, which is not entirely uncommon. I still want Janeane Garafallo in this movie somewhere. Even as an extra in the restaurant scene.

She could play the woman who turns out to be Fenchurch in "...Thanks for All the Fish"...I think she'd suit it quite well smiley - winkeye

Right, Garofalo, sorry. I never won any awards for spelling. Anyway, a friend of mine says he is sure thet Jim Carey will NOT be in this movie, But wouldn't it be great if Michael McMannus is in for Ford?
And what about the cast from the LEXX?
And what about the survivors of the MINNOW, lost at sea off the coast of Hawaii for so many years, these castaways are...

Sorry, I drifted.

I'd heard from my usually reliable sources that Carrey was actually being saught for the part of Zaphod...*ugh*

If Carey is one Zaphod head, who will be the other Zaphod head?

Well, he could kinda muster 1/3 of a Zaphod head smiley - winkeye

I would like to see a Zaphod made of Jim Carey and Christopher Walkin(sp?) from KING OF NEW YORK and SLEEPY HOLLOW.

Nah...that would mean Carrey's still in it smiley - winkeye

OK, how about Carey as one head and Jon Stewart as the other? How about Martha Stewart as the voice of the Guide?

No, that would mean Carrey's _still_ in it smiley - winkeye

Joe aka Arnia, Muse, Keeper, MathEd, Guru and Zen Cook (business is booming)

Gary Oldman for Zaphod
Stephen Fry for Arthur

The rest should be a new cast (with a few exceptions though) smiley - smiley
