hi Math
and
You really are talking gibberish I mentioned Aesops fables and anansi the spider because ive read versions of both of them myself when I was young and read them to ther kids. Thing is I doubt anyone would put them forward as true or insist that anyoone else MUST live their lives in accordance with them. Which was my overall point.
I was getting at the fact that the fanciful and the falsified abound in religious texts and saying how unhappy it makes me when people indoctrinate orbrainwash others into accepting them as god given truth. Then those same people decide that we should all live oour lives in accordance with them.

Don't worry. English is my first language, as you can probably tell from the complete, well-formed sentences, the correct use of grammar and punctuation, and the fact that the end product *means* something. Compare this with "God In order for God to exist must know he is therefor he is". Can you see the difference?
Incidentally, the argument seems to be a rehash of the much refuted "Ontological Argument". Try formalising the logic, and you will see that there is an unstated premise that is identical to the conclusion. If you have a problem let me know, and I'll walk you through it.

All the things you want to teach me are fine but does not fit in with the original question of this topic, for which I merely answered and showed proof.
I am not a scholar nor do I need to be to be a pure mathmetician.
The simple and plain truth is what was asked and I beieve I have done that to the best of my knowledge and my expertise at relaying the answer in plain english "so to speak" eveything else just causes arguements and debates and defracts from the original train of thought.
Now as plain as the answer is God exists why start to cloud the issue with arguements over grammar or other people thoughts. If you believe that is great as I have come to realize, now how to spread the truth without "forcing" my opinion or preaching as some say or think I do.
I believe that this was the original mission of Jesus in the real world not to condemn or force people to believe but to Teach.
Also when typing it is very hard to show emotion in staements ;i.e
its black and white text.
Now the true meaning of teach is to show beyond a doubt what u say is true by proving the facts so that all may understand.
Noggin this is not a direct defense or attack upon you for your posts but simply more of an explanation of what I tried to prove.
Have A Great Day and thankyou for the debate.

Another point maybe you would like to comment on for me please since
I have your attention.
Everything counts and anything is possible.
Really dont know why i came up with that in my random thoughts but seems to fit with everything lol and gives me purpose.

Don't worry, JLp, I'm really only teasing - although for a serious purpose.

In logical arguments grammar is important, because it expresses the logical connections between one part of a sentence and another.
<< In order for God to exist (He) must know he is therefor(e) he is.>>
For example, in the above sentence the "therefore" states that the last part of the sentence follows logically from the first two parts. But it doesn't. One could equally say "In order for God to exist He must know He exists, therefore he doesn't exist." (Incidentally, wouldn't it make more sense to say "In order for God to know he exists, he must exist?") Both arguments have a term missing in the premises. In your argument, the missing term is "God exists". In mine, it is "God doesn't exist." The arguments can therefore be shortened to
1) God exists, therefore God exists.
2) God doesn't exist, therefore God doesn't exist
Both are equally valid. They also equally fail to prove anything at all.

Hi Blicky
"Thing is I doubt anyone would put them forward as true or insist that anyoone else MUST live their lives in accordance with them. Which was my overall point."
Aha, now you are making sense.
The power of the story as a vehicle for certain truths in undeniable, but the vehicle itself may be complete fantasy. It may even be necessary for it to be a fantasy to allow the person hearing it to explore the truth held within in a 'safe mental environment'.
If we apply this to the New Testament, and squeeze it through a few reality filters, we come out with Bill & Ted's: "Be excellent to one another dude!"
"I was getting at the fact that the fanciful and the falsified abound in religious texts and saying how unhappy it makes me when people indoctrinate or brainwash others into accepting them as god given truth. Then those same people decide that we should all live oour lives in accordance with them."
Couldn't agree more. Which is why I am a druid, not a christian.
Blessings,

Well, there is no wrongs, no rights. It just is. I guess how one believes in God's and/or Satan's existence is a matter of how one see themselves. I still haven't seen or met anyone who is already dead coming back to me and tell me about their journey to heaven or hell though (in that sense, convinced me of anything!) and even those who are still alive now, has yet to give me an affirmative explanation as how big exactly is the space outside of this universe. If there is a radius reading to that, what is outside of that radius then? and outside? and outside? etc.... so yes, I believe there is a force out there..the force. And whether or not it is God or Satan, it is the force that controls everything. We only choose God coz it comes in all goodness so nothing will go wrong, we choose Satan coz some of us like some varieties in our lives. Still, there is no wrongs or rights. Our life is what already is.

Welcome to the god thread Lady Borneo Island. Like many others you have come here from the first posting. It's not compulsory to read the intervening 26,074 posts but we have gone into the size of the universe at some length. Whilst not believing in god or satan I do believe the fundermental force in the universe is Life. The Life force is neither good nor evil.

Hi Astro
I have been here way back - can't recall how far back now.
You talk about Life being the fundamental force in the Universe.
Beware that path because at its end there lies the strong anthropic pricipal.
