Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Started conversation Oct 2, 2000
Welcome, one and all, to my Kingdom. Feel free to make yourself at home, once you've read the general layout on the home page. The palace is a wonderous place, and don't be afraid to explore. If you'd like to be a prince, princess, ensign, dogbody, ice-cream stand attendant, anything, let me know and the post shall be yours. For now, Enjoy!

Let me also welcome everyone to my - I mean, our - lovely palace and kingdom!
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 2, 2000
'Our', yes, I thought that was what you meant......
Welcome weary travellers!
Alien Posted Oct 2, 2000
Of course it was, but I wonder what you meant by saying 'my' in your speech...
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 2, 2000
Well, you see, you weren't around at the time, and I *did* build the palace..........sorry. I grant thee one full hour with me in the dungeon, do what you will......
Welcome weary travellers!

*shuffle shuffle koff koff*
Majesties, it is I, Thruthelthrolth, the aged and decrepit royal butler, grey of hair and also of teeth, and slightly fuzzy around the edges. How *koff* may I be of service to you? *tries not to fart, fails*
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 5, 2000
Greetings, Thruthelthrolth, and welcome to our kingdom! You may have any post you desire......

*blows nose into a filthy hankerchief, with a noise like the QE2 foghorn*
Oh, your majesty's sense of humour is as sharp as always *koff*. I heard the bell ring down in the butler's pantry with my own ears.... or maybe it was my hearing aid playing up again. It's so difficult to afford batteries these days. Is there any chance *looks sheepishly at feet and scrapes an arc in the dust with left shoe* that the staff will be paid this year?
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 5, 2000
I thought perhaps you might like a step up in life, my faithful servant. Batteries for your hearing aid?
*summons a worker elf and speaks in his ear*
As for the matter of payment, I think that is something I shall have to discuss with the queen....
*The elf returns, carrying a small object*
I think you'll find, loyal Thruthelthrolth, that this will be an adequate replacement for your old hearing aid.....

Oh your Majesty!! I.. I.. I'm overcome with joy *koff*. I may cry.
*shuffles off to servant's quarters to play with new toy*
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 5, 2000
There are few limits to my genorosity for those loyal to the throne......
Welcome weary travellers!
Alien Posted Oct 5, 2000
Indeed, my King...
And the kingdom is expanding! How wonderful!
Did I hear you mention some matter we should discuss?
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 6, 2000
Yes, my Queen, the matter of payment for our loyal servants......I can't help but think that payment as such is hardly necessary, as all things are freely available within the kingdom, one has only to ask, but I would appreciate your assistance in the matter.....
Welcome weary travellers!
Alien Posted Oct 6, 2000
Payment... I'd consider it unnecessary too... Free bakery products and all - who needs money...
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 6, 2000
And the worker elves can make anything that's required.....
Welcome weary travellers!
King Cthulhu of Balwyniti Posted Oct 6, 2000
Seems to be....though we'd have to decide travelling minstrels on a case by case basis....
