The little one had a blood transfusion yesterday (Wed). He has a heart murmur and an infection and still on the ventilator but the good news is he's taking his mother's milk and finally opened his eyes.

Aww Bless him..

I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

Heart murmurs often clear up over time - Kitty had one when she was little, and look at her. As for the infection - he's in the best place for care, so hopefully that should clear up too.
As for the rest - that's great news!

Let's hope this is the last of the worries his parents have with him. Glad things are improving and he's gaining strength. I for one shall be watching this space to see how he does.

Hope all goes well and he makes good progress. I agree heart murmurs sometimes go, but I have one and so does my youngest son. Makes you a bit more tired than some people but we have stamina rather than speed!

Tiny wee baby all wrapped up and in an ENORMOUS clear plastic bucket!

I took our firstborn (age 2) into the Mat unit. While I spoke to my wife we directed him to have a look in the corner of the room.

"Ooooh - it's a baby --- Can we take it home?"

He had a few occasions to regret that over the years -- but she looked gorgeous as his Bridesmaid last week.
