This time yesterday I was ... well, that's in the past - now I'd like to share some and celebrate the new arrival - Harrison Allan made his debut at 10am, he's tiny but perfect. Jenny is exhausted, her labour was over 24 hours long and with baby only being 26 weeks gestated there was the added worry of would he be alright? He's in an incubator and being assessed, don't even know his weight yet but as soon as I know, so will you.

Harrison Allan - that really is a good name.
Congratulations all around
So, how many are there now in your immediate family? I've lost count.
Here, btw, is the little lad's astronomy picture of the day

Wow, that's suitably gorgeous
Just got the birthweight: 900 grams = 1.98½ pounds in old money. He will be in hospital for a while yet, but as soon as I can do the Sheffield run I'll be sure to take camera
Jenny is recovering well
My immediate family? Mum, my older brother has two daughters and a second wife, younger sister has two sons and a daughter and a fiance, younger brother just a wife I have two daughters and two sons, and now I have two grandsons.

I'm glad all are doing well, GB!
How big is the little bloke? I weighed more than 5 1/2 times that when I was born - they kept me in an incubator for the first three days of my life, they thought I was retaining water. After that they handed me over to my mum and said "Sorry, he's just fat!"
