Eatsmice, I didn't vanish in a puff of smoke. But when His Honor held up the proceedings for 10 minutes because the Court had apparently LOST the order it was meant to be modifying, well, that didn't make my intestines happy.
I won, though. I guess the spicy pizza lit a fire in my belly.

Speaking of accidents - I'm still rather upset after hearing about the death of a two year Chinese girl who was run over by TWO vans and ignored by at least EIGHTEEN people as she lay, horrendously injured, on the ground.
Apologies for the SHOUTING but really! What kind of a world are we living in?
On a somewhat more trivial note, you'll see I'm still wearing my involuntary Hallowe'en disguise.

It's just so lovely to see all the returned folks here.

I've just got an email saying there are spaces on the British Sign Language course starting in January. I am conflicted. I wanted some time off after this year which has been crazily intense. I had been going to use it to clean the house, do some gardening, do some sewing, and generally become a Ben again. Oh, and volunteer for noohootoo and helping with Edinburgh Skeptics. And reading fiction. And having baths. And days out. ("Remember when weekends used to be fun?" Z said to me yesterday>
Actually, typing this has made my mind up. I am not ready yet for another big learny commitment. Maybe in the September intake next year....

My work PC has just died, which means I can't VPN in from home this weekend. Which means that I'll have to work late tonight, I can use the other PCs in the office, but I can't VPN into them.
