G,morning all. Matina a glass of Glühweinf please. (Sounds good)
A failed B-grade drama queen joins the others on the veranda. The sound track from Blue Hawaii, playing on his walkman, can just be heard.

QMike, if it wasn't for Elvis and a few others the development of your favoured form of music would probably have taken a different turn...
Titania, Blue Hawaii I think is the one you're thinking of.

Thanks, Phil! Blue Hawaii is just the thing I connect early Elvis with...

So the failed drama queen connects one end of polynesia to the other!
How's things going in the land of the long white cloud now winter is nearly over?

If it weren't Elvis it'd been someone else.
And his songs were ugh anyway
Musically prejudiced? Yes!

Phil, the long white shroud of winter makes way for the long sunny days of spring in three days time. Yippee.
The weather is having a spring dress rehearsal today. 19 degrees Celsius and not a cloud in the sky.
I think we can all agree that Elvis was far better than Britain's pale imitation of him, Cliff Richard.
Jail House Rock was an Elvis rock'n'roll classic

I'd certainly agree there about Cliff.
Today the weather (in London anyway) has been warm but showery. As I was on a tube train at Earls Court watching as many people waited for transport to Carnival and listening to the short rain storm. I felt glad about not going

*just hoping that NZ going into spring doesn't necessarily mean Sweden's going into autumn, I'd like and 'Indian' summer...*

This is definitely one of the coolest stages I've ever seen:

Yes, quite crazy, I would say.
Loony, I'm jealous! Here it's autumn in a month or so and you will have spring in a few days - my favourite season.
Mhm, maybe I should quit my work and go to NZ for 'spring holidays'?
As a matter of fact, I'm planning to go to NZ and Australia, but time... well, never enough time to do things. This is bad.

I can't leave a calling card in my own house.
ISP problems kept me off the net most of yesterday, and I have a houseguest until tomorrow, so this will just be a look-in.
Matina, please see that Mindspring gets a bowl of fresh spinach leaves and one quarter of a donut. Put a pork pie out on the counter for Styx, too, and give Violet a cup of fresh ground beef and a bucket of water.
I love talking about B movies. Wish I could stay longer, but I must attend to my guest. See you all tomorrow -- please stay, I'll see you when I get back.
Key: Complain about this post
