Beeble, it's amazing, isn't it, how much the MA takes out of you, while the PhD seems so much simpler...write a book and you're done.
I don't know. Sometimes I think I'm just going to go crazy, and have a wonderful time doing it.
But *after* my oral comprehensive exams. *Then* I'll be able to breathe again. And stop eating junk food. And quit smoking. All of those things that catch me up when I have papers to grade and tests to write and a paper of my own, and 3 books to read, and a BF who's being a jerk, and a kid, and and and and....
Okay, now I'm just stressing everyone out. Matina, can you find me some sort of soothing ?

It's big isn't it?
My fault admittedly. I've spent my weekend gliding and at B's flat, and now have to come back down to the rather odd business of Real Life.
How Dull.

My dishwashers-in-training are about read to graduate to full dishwashing status! One chore I won't have to do all the time!

GDZ when I was about A's age I *wanted* to do dishes. Now I hate the chore.

Both A and C want to do the dishes, they just had to wait until I thought they were ready.

A belated Happy Birthday J'au
Hi Beeblefish, nice to meet you.
MR, there are still guilds in the UK, related to trades, as in medieval times. I don't know a single thing about them, I'm afraid. I think they are more benevolent institutions nowadays. The IG argument continued in to yesterday, he is the sort of person that doesn't take criticism well I have discovered and I can see my role will be as Devil's Advocate. When an adult says 'you are not my Mother to tell me what to do', you know you are getting close to winning!
