Hello! You can call me Penny Whistle. Yes, I know, it's a horrible pun. But I thought of the name, and just had to use it! Anyway, I'm new to the Guide, but it looks like a fun place. After all, I'm a big fan of Douglas Adams (I've read everything relating to Hitchhiker's and Dirk Gently, as well as Deeper Meaning Of Liff and Last Chance To See), and I think a lot of the people here have that kind of opinion.A little about me. Um, I'm 19, and I'm probably a nerd. I'm into drama and music, anyway, which would explain why I'm not really invited to parties. Definitely not a prep. I'm into old arcade games like Bubble Bobble and the mario brothers games, and I'm not really complaining about the state of current video games either.
I'd give you more (religious/political preferences, etc.), but people tend to yell and throw fits when I mention who I support for President/etc. without even listening to my reasons for why, so I'll just hold off on that for a while.
That should be a good start! Can't wait to get to meet you!
Time Traveller, Extraordinaire
One of the first activities I did when I joined the Guide (and one of the only ones, too. I tend to vanish for months at a time) was to apply to join the H2G2 Society Of Time Travellers. Now that I'm a member, and that I've learned some GuideML, I can officially give myself this Badge of Membership!
The Figurines
When the blokes at Crater Labs, Inc. were jazzing up my penny whistle1, I also asked for a few special figurines. Each of these acts as a beacon, so that I can quickly jump to their location in the time/space continuum without all of the cumbersome maths involved there. For the sake of my wonderful memory, I'm going to just put up a listing of all of my figurines, so that I can keep track of them whenever I use one.
