Candi - now 42!

Amy: thanks for telling me about Mulholland Drive. It turns out it's on at the Cubby Broccoli cinema in the NMPFT in Bradford next week. The February calendar is on the NMPFT website. So I'll be able to see it after all!

Munchkin: Had a look at the photos smiley - cheers - noticed there's one with me signing Pegasus's post, and Paul behind me.

BB: It does seem ages ago already - weird, was I really there? Was it really only 2 days ago. Oh well, roll on Summer meet!

I haven't even noticed the wind today, I haven't been out in it. Maybe the double glazing stops the sound getting in too. Or maybe I'm just lost in my own smiley - weird world........smiley - smiley

Hati

Hi, Ioreth, others!smiley - smiley

Could you believe what happened to all this snow here - it snowed for hours and then in the middle of the night it started to rain. So now it's so wet outdoors that I don't know how I'll make my way through it. Wet wet snow... smiley - sadface

Our media is so involved with Eurovision Song Contest already. smiley - yawn

Hi Ioreth and all...

Weather getting weird here too. Aftyre weeks of warm weather and rain it finally froze and started snowing, so the streets are a skating rink as all the superfluous melteed snow has turned to ice. I am clearly going to break something this year. But I'll hold out for your rain, Hati as we must be getting the tail eend of your weather...

Hi Io!

PWM, one advantage of the M&S picnic rug is that it has a waterproof backing, so the SH are eminently sensible. But I do wish they would get out of my way when I'm belting around Sainsbury's! I expect they will be lurking around the salmon and whisky counters replenishing stocks when I go in later today!

I suppose I ought to accept that now that I have lived in Surrey longer than anywhere else, that I come from Surrey too now! And I go out to lunch regularly! Actually, I'm 'out to lunch' most days but we'll keep that to ourselves! smiley - winkeye

I actually have no Scottish blood in my veins, but Sts David, Patrick and George can look forward to me raising a drink or few on their days.

Hati, I don't envy you the wet snow smiley - yuk, nor the Eurovision Song Contest, these days we hear very little about selection of groups or songs until around March. The only thing worth watching the Contest for is Terry Wogan's hilarious and ironic (always a useful word to use when trying to avoid sarcasm!) comments!

Marv, it will be interesting see what your part of the World looks like when the Winter Olympics is broadcasted. I usually watch the opening ceremony and programme about the surrounding area.

Probably a good thing you don't listen to R2 Caer. I was listening to the album chart show yesterday and they played a Terry Wogan trail which was talking about it!

I'm quite looking forward to the W Olympics, too. All those exotic sports...

And I'm quite looking forward to seeing which overweening pop icon Russia will be throwing to the wolves in the Eurovision too. First it was Alla Pugachova (diva) who came about last and then it was a group called the Mumiii Trolls who (were) hugely popular until thay made the mistake of singing in English and came about last.

Still, it's in Estonia this year, isn't it. Make sure your country doesn't do an Ireland, Hati and win it for successive years on the trot...

OP, I think it has finally dawned on the beeb that the only way to get a few people in the UK to watch the Contest is to hype it as Terry's show!

Perhaps singing in English is the mistake we make! Or is it a cunning plan to avoid having to host the show??

Sol

The entry we had last year was clearly a cunning plan to avoid hosting the show. And singing in English doesn't help as everybody can understand the dire lyrics. Though it doesn't stop people all over the world buying sporty spice records, but there you go. That must be charity.
