This entry of the guide needs updating: there have been two novels written since "The Fifth Elephant".

Yes, (I have read both of them and I agree with you) but I was wondering if the article would be updated.

Hmm, well the likelyhood of the entry being updated is pretty slim at the moment I'm afraid, as it seems all the eds are so busy with new entries that they don't have time for updating old ones (lower priority, see) though I might be wrong - I seem to recall one Sub Ed, Jimi X I think it was, who was updating entries in his spare time... why not drop a note 'round the Sub Ed's page?

Terry Pratchett has a lastest novel? Two? I live in Australia, but I'm shocked to hear that we're so far behind. Oh well... Nightshade.

Not another two! I managed to get hold of The Truth but the library doesn't even admit to the existence of The Thief of Time.

Both are on my christmas list!! I've just re-read Moving Pictures for the third time 'cos Windle's the hero! Hubba-Hubba Tantarobs!!!!
I think I'll start Jingo again and then if I read slowly, re-reading Hogfather should put me in the mood for Chrissy

Erk! I don't know if you guys have mentioned this in another post, but it looks like there are TWO new Discworld releases out.
The Last Hero, the illustrated Cohen story, I knew about - but yesterday I bought the new hardback novel, "The Amazing Maurice", or something... I didn't even bother to read the blurb until I got home, such a dedicated (foolish?) fan that I am. It turn out that it's the first in a series of CHILDRENS stories based in the Discworld.
Ah well, it's bound to be good anyway. A good story is a good story, whatever age it's aimed at...

Yea!! I spotted 'Maurice' in WHSmiths yesterday and the current Mrs Poons forbad its purchase due to forthcoming Hogswatch. I must also start dropping hints to the Poons offspring regarding 'The Last Hero', another one to catch up on as I really need to get the lowdown and dirty on young Cohen.
The wheelchair is in good working order though MOT is imminent and approached with some trepidation!!

Same here, but my mum doesn't have a clue. I could write my Crimbo list in 30-foot high flaming letters and she'd still get me something totally different. For example, this year.

Waaah-Heeyyy!! Hogfather gave me 'The Truth' which I've just finished. Sooooooperb!!! Less jokes, but terrific plot and comment on the power of the media. Now, as soon as I get rid of this cold, I'm off to 'Smiffs' to swap my Hogswatch book token for 'The Thief of Time'. Also just re-read 'Equal Rites' Terry at his descriptive best! I particularly like 'The storm walked round the hills on legs of lightening, shouting and grumbling'
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
