*springs into Cafe, wearing huge grin having abandoned winter*
Happy Spring, everyone!
*notices abundance of poetry of late, clears throat*
Spring has sprung
The grass is ris
I wonder where the birdies is
Some say the bird is on the wing,
But that is absurd
For everyone knows
The wing is on the bird.
*moves from poetry-reading position to IIEM*
An extra-thick vanilla milkshake, if you will.
*takes shake and skips merrily over to door facing forest, taking deep gulps of [virtual] fresh, spring air.

The entire concept of time makes me confused and amused.

You know those iced cafe mocha things that Starbucks serves? Yeah? Well, I don't want one of those. I'd like a hot chocolate with a thick dallop of whipped cream on top if it isn't too much trouble.
Learning to fly is no easy deal... You really gotta flair those suckers on a landing! Heh... might as well go see if Tweetie's around anywere... Or perhaps I should stick to my parachutes! Oh...
Tashalls/Irving might not be too keen on the holes in the cieling though... But I can blame parachuting accidents on the wind! The wings just seem to injure ME.

It's not really started yet, but I don't expect it to hold any surprises . Things are pretty slow round here atm. What about you?

Weeeeell, I suspect to be full of surprises, actually!
After our every-other-week-meeting, I'm invited to a kind goodbye-thingy with the people from my old department, so I suspect I'll be expected to do say a few words (uah). Then I'm heading home to put on some fresh clothes, and then back too work. At 5pm buses are coming to pick us all up for the companys annual summerparty, which in this case would be an autumnparty
The interresting thing is going to be where the party will be held. The commitee in charge of it is being very secretive about it...

Yep!
The budget for the party this year is tripled or something, 'cause of a kind of team-building-project they're running. So I expect it to a huge event!
BTW, would you mind checking out the last post on "Poet's Nook"-thread and telling what you think? All kinds of criticism appreciated!!

IIEM, café mélange, please!

Hi Titania .
You know, it seems funny that our antipodean friends are celelebrating the coming of spring as we head into the gloom of autumn. Not long before I drive to work in the dark, work all day in the office, and drive home in the dark . Funny though, it happens every year.

BS, where I live, we have about 6 hrs of daylight during darkest time of winter, and since I work in an underground office for 8 hrs, I never see the daylight except on weekends...

BluesSlider Posted Sep 1, 2000
Titania, I guess I ought to think myself lucky then, at least I can see the daylight through the office window .
