That's alright, my last final is a week from today. After that, online interaction is going to be sporatic.
Oh man, I have to figgure out what to do about the café when I can't be here! Any suggestions?

Hello, Tony Inchpractice! Here you go, one coffee c)~( What has brought you here? Or may I ask?
Now, Lil a caretaker is one thing, but the problem is that no one can actually update the Café page... Maybe I'll make it a point to come one once a week to direct people viewing the Café page to the latest forum...
Now Hiring for the position of Aroma Café caretaker!

I'm too busy as it is to be the caretaker. Hey, great news: I've almost got the Krylma leader out of my system! Gimme a Usual to celebrate.

Alright, now who else doesn't want to be the caretaker? WAIT! That's not a can of worms I want to open! Let's just keep it to who *does* want the position.

I suggest you place an ad on the home page of the cafe, specifying duties and priveleges of caretaker-ship.
May I have some green tea, please?

Probably a good idea. I'll do that first thing in the morning

Hey Irv,
Quick suggestion for you, Rather than getting just the one caretaker, why not hire a couple of people. Due to the shifts I do at w***, I might be able to help out at various times.
To be honest, though, you would be better getting one American, one Brit, and one Australian/Antipodean, that would cover most time zones.
You then put a link to their pages on the Cafe page, stating that while you are away, they are the caretakers, and to follow the links on their pages to the latest forum.
I am quite happy to have a link on my page to the latest forum, which I should be able to update on a daily basis, and start new forums if required. Drop me a note on my homepage if you want.
However, I am sure there will be someone from the regulars who will be able to fill the temporary position.
IIEM, a Cappucino please.
OOOK
Oh sorry Ook didn't see you there.
IIEM, 2 Canteloup melons and some bananas
*picks up c)~( and hands melons to Ook. Ook eats melons and looks longingly at bananas*
Not yet, how would you like to play a game?
OOK?
Lets try scrabble, come over to the table and sit down.
*sets up scrabble board*
Right, what you have to do is make up words from these little tiles. See each one has a different letter on it, you start with seven, and you get a score for every word you make, and these coloured squares on the board give you extra points, for example that one is double letter score, this one is a triple word score and so on.
Do you understand so far?
ooOOok!
Good. Now you start. For every correct word, I will give you a banana.........

Mornin' y'all!
IIEM, an A L special please. *grabs Guardian, heads for favourite table*
I have had a word with Vlad, and he knows Ook is here. Seems willing to let him hang out here, but I've told him Ook misses him a little bit.
*Ook looks up from scrabble board, looks wistful for a moment, then thinks of bananas and adverts attention to scrabble board*

Babel17 Posted May 6, 2000
*Ook lays four tiles down on the board*
OOK!
Lets see Oook. Right, using my G you have spelt GDERF. I'm sorry, that isn't a proper word.
OOK,OOK?
No, let me see what's left. Ah, if you use my S and put down F,E,that second E and the D you get FEEDS, and on a double letter score too! Do you see?
oOOoK!
Good! My turn, I'll use your D and use my A, R and K, DARK.
ook, *looks sad*
No, no, it's alright, you'll get the hang of it. Have a banana anyway, you are getting better.
IIEM, another cappucino and a bowl of water.
*gives bowl to Ook and sips c)~(*
Morning to you Lil, how are things?

Hi all! Hi Ook!
"Oooook!"
Yeah, I missed you too, ya big lunk.... You're looking a bit PORTLY, Ook, have they been looking after you?
*Looks at scrabble board*
Use that one, it'll get you 3 points. IIEM one headache cure and a mango tea, pur-lease.

You know, Irv, you say you don't want to open the can of worms of people who don't want the job? What's wrong with that kind of thing? Fills up forums to quickly?

Hallo Vlad! Do you really think he's put on weight? He was off in the woods for a couple of days and found out the hard way that he doesn't really thrive on acorns. Is there something we should give him besides bananas and canteloupe?
If you can work out a shift system, Irv, I could do a share of the job, too.
Hallo Affi. Or whoever you really are.

Yeah, Affy, I'm afraid it'd be a bit too much so far as filling forums (I think this one's going to be due for a change fairly soon).
B-17, where are *you* on this earth? I understand that An Aussie a Brit and a Yank would be ideal, but maybe two people would be best. I don't want a bunch of arguing over who has what duties while I'm gone.
From what I'm hearing, here's what sounds the best: two people share caretaker responsibilities, updating the forums as needed. These caretakers will be listed on the front page of the Café with links to their own homepages. On their homepages they can include a link to the latest Aroma Café threads (one for the Forrest, one for the Counter). I come in when I can.
If anyone sees holes in that plan, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Lil, if you're volunteering, you're hired
B-17, if you're in the UK, NZ, or AU, you're hired

Vlad, Ook and I somehow (blame the IIEM) ended up in a Yellow Submarine in the Swimming to Jupiter thread. Of course, he's *here*, too, but is it alright if I take care of hime *there* as well?
