Church of the True Weevil

I've decided to start my own little group called the Church of the True Weevil. I know not yet its purpose nor design, but it's something new and could be fun. It will most certainly centre around weevils.
Everyone's welcome to join. Frizzychick's already a member. Being the Weevil-Meister, I and my weevil minions will be more than happy to help you out in times of despair.
Oh, and Kensington says hi.

'Hey, I want to be in the Church of the True Weevil! '
And, I simply state, why not? And, do I get to choose a title? If so, I would like Saint Spork, Saint of Weevils

Hey, you're in! That was easy, wasn't it? Oh, my blessed weevils are so excited!
Titles are a great idea, but don't you have to earn a sainthood? We'll have to come up with some way of earning these things. Or maybe not. What do you think?
I'll just add your name to the rolls during the meanwhilst. You sure you want your username to be Sp?rkUl???s ?gl?n? Why would you disemvowel your name like that?

So those aren't supposed to be question marks then?

All I see is Sp?rk?l???s ?gl?n. Perhaps you should adopt a less font-sensitive version of your pseudonym. You don't mind me just calling you Sporkulious Eglon, do you?

No, I don't.... I still use it, on occassion... oh, and that link I gave you is for you to use on your page, Nick

I realize that the link you gave me was for my page, but I've been doing 12-hour work days lately and haven't had much time to do any upkeep on my page. I hardly have time to go here at the moment.
Bloody bugs. No, Kensington, I was talking about my work...

i haven't seen a weevil for a fair few years, neither have i seen the inside of a church in a while. this leads me to suspect, through some very dodgy logic, that all the weevils are inside the churches - besides i can type the magic words:'Hey, I want to be in the Church of the True Weevil! '
span
ps cool page btw

Thanks for the page compliment.
And, having thus spake the magic words (well, typed, but 'spake' is more fun to say, er....type), you are now a member of the church, for better or worse. But hey, it's a party! And there's weevils there! Life just doesn't get much better than this!
Consider it a virtual kind of church. Weevils everywhere.

Might you accept a poor Archbishop into your little church??
Church of the True Weevil
Nick O`Teen Posted Dec 7, 1999
Certainly! Architects are welcome, too! Gosh, let me just update my page. The weevils are fairly freaking out. They've never seen so many people around here; they're running out of little weevil legs to count with.
On H2G2, religions _can_ co-exist, it seems.

I think that perhaps 'apostate' is a bit strong. I think you should consider yourself as being... "open minded". Remember that our "religions" are more like buddhism than other religions. Weevils and brownies are a state of mind.

I have a bit about the coexistance of religions on my page... check it out, if you want... if not, no biggee

By the weevil's slavering fangs! I've got to get out of my page more often. Not only did I not realize that Marv had an entire page devoted to the Church of the True Brownie, but I didn't even realize that I was a member! With a title and everything. Geez, I'm gonna have to do something better for the CotTW. A blurb on my home page is just not going to do, it seems.
Thanks for the linkage, Spork (I can call you 'Spork', can't I?). I'll check it out. I may just end up giving you that title you wanted after all.

Hi Nick, glad to part of the Church - what are the church's activities for the festive season - or does the church not celebrate at this particular time of year? Surely, being the party animals that they are, weevils celebrate at most religious festivals, regardless of faith and denomination?
Church of the True Weevil
Nick O`Teen Posted Dec 7, 1999
Well, normally there'd be a big party around this time of the year, but the weevils are usually too busy partying to plan the thing.
You know, after a weevil has had a few marzipan gins, they start to taste like ordinary corn syrup to them.
