With, I dare say more experience than anyone else here I can categorically state that Friz is demented, and a blender scrounger too.

Accusing me of scrounging blenders? And here was me going to offer you a second-hand and only partly knackered espresso maker...
grrrr... ingratitude
(And I am not demented)

A state of dementia is not necessarily a bad thing. Just look at our beloved Archbishop of COtTB! My profeesional opinion is that everyone is demented to some degree. My job is to enhance said dementia.

I have it on very good authority that you're a blender scrounger. I'd love an espresso machine though. I've been reading Kinky Friedman and, not liking cigars, I've taken to drinking too much coffee

I wouldn't mind having a little ment, myself, but I don't have a problem with losing most of it.
What's all this about blender scrounging? Frizz, did you purloin Gaz's blender and not return it?
I also drink lots and lots of coffee. I read somewhere about a scientist who claims that drinking coffee protects you from the long term effects of monitor radiation (I'm not kidding - that's what he claims), and, by gum, that's good enough for me.

As I have long term exposure to monitors I do hope that this is the case indeed.

Does it work on long term exposure to Archbishops as well?

And I did not really 'scrounge' the blender. I siad "that's a nice blender" and Jo said "i'll see what I can do" - and hey presto - we are supposed to aranging a blender-handover at the millenium dome sometime soon

There are some halfway drinkable decaf coffees knocking about - caffeine isn't the only pleasure to be gained from the drink - and caffeine makes me evil.

Nick O`Teen Posted Feb 8, 2000
Evil? I thought caffeine was friend to all. It's certainly one of my best friends.
The thing that bugs me about most herbal teas is that they smell great but they all taste like mud. Or maybe that's just the cheaper brands or something; I'm not well-versed in the herbal tea markets.
Some study probably reveals that decaf coffee protects you from the ravages of caffeine.

OK, so perhaps 'evil' is a bit strong - is certainly makes me a little 'cranky' through to downright demented. Herbal tea is the safer (albeit more mud-like) option for my colleagues

Caffeine does tend to make weevils slightly demented, not there's anything wrong with that!

It's a shame I can't take a carafe of marzipan gin to work with me, and sip at it gently throughout the day
Church of the True Weevil
Nick O`Teen Posted Feb 10, 2000
It would be interesting to see how your imbibing marzipan gin on the job might affect the average person's view of life in a museum. Especially once the panicked reactions to various hallucinations start to kick in.

I would really like a glass of merlot at my work. Ah well, just have to spike a slurpee instead.

We have frequently discussed filling the water cooler with white wine But some people thought it might affect our work!

As a support tech, I think that I would be better if a little loopy.
