I do some illustration work. I have 15 examples available on Google+ for your review.
I run Linux/Ubuntu on my computer at home, so my program of choice is GIMP. I do photo mods, line work and some more painterly pieces that seem to get a good reception from some very critical people. This is an artist's community here in KW, so there are plenty of critics running around with nothing else to do.
I've been on h2g2 for ten+ years, so I know what the deal is (and has been) through all three incarnations. And right now, I have some quality time to spend on projects.
I am Researcher8273640, and as you may have already guessed, my name is David.

Tell me which service you prefer, and I will upload them. I didn't choose one because no matter which I chose, it would be easier on another...

Let's try flickr, then: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dbhecht/?saved=1

I discussed it with my fellow Arts Editors and we all really like your pictures. Please sign up on Noesis if you don't have an account already. Then please tell me your username so I can find someone who can give you permissions to see the arts forum.

I signed up for the "interim" account as KWDave, I'm pretty sure (I wanted to make sure I didn't get left behind!) I haven't been back over since the upgrade on h2g2, though. Is there a specific URL for our front page, like there was before the change?

KWDave Posted Feb 10, 2012
Yeah, even though I found the sign in page and entered my account info and password, it's not letting me in. I asked them to resend a password to my email, but when I enter it into their self-directed sign in page, it boots me back out to my own email account. I'm not even sure if that's possible...but it's done it twice now.
Account is listed as "KWDave", email is halfbuckaroo at hotmail dot com.

once you have permissions and are signed in you will see the h2g2 forums above the s2g2 forums on the main page of noesis. I just try to reach someone who can do it.

Hi Dave,
I'm not an Artist - but just wanted to say "What fantastic images!". Speaking on behalf of the Guide Editors, we're delighted to know that you've offered to help out. Welcome!
I'm going to try to get someone to sort of your access to the Noesis forum, but it may be a while because the person that normally does this is ill at the moment.
I'll post to this thread as soon as I get a reply - or PM you on the Noesis forum itself.

Hi Dave, can you click on that link and see if it's a visible forum for you please?
This is where the Artists discuss things.
Let me know either way please.

It recognizes me! Yay! What are you doing in the office on Saturday?

Lanzababy - Guide Editor Posted Feb 11, 2012
I wish we did have an office Dave, this stuff is all voluntary, and we all work from home. To be honest I would rather be on the beach, but it's all cold and cloudy here today.

Not exactly brilliant here, either, kind of gray, rainy, and supposed to get cold tonight (for 24 hours.)
Do I need to set a password for the Noesis account, or just come and bother you if it logs me out?
OK, I'll try out
Lanzababy - Guide Editor Posted Feb 11, 2012
I think I had a password for Noesis - but it seems to remember me and so far it's not logged me out.
If you get a problem, just ask!

I finally added your badge and put your name on the members list. You really do a lot, thank you!
