Sunday 18 November 2012 - 2nd Announcement: Illustration invitation - Christmas and winter themes, your own, and old entries

Due to the happy circumstance that lots of entries are written and go through Peer review, the Artist volunteers are currently a bit overwhelmed. The Artists and the Create scheme would once again like to invite you to share your artwork and photography with the Guide:

Christmas is soon upon us, and here is a list of entries which need Christmas- and Winter-themed illustrations: A87777562

You can also illustrate your own entry: If your entry is going through Peer Review, this is the perfect opportunity to submit your own illustration!

Of course, you are also invited to illustrate older entries which currently have no illustration. Should you find one that stirs your imagination, just go ahead and share your art with the Guide!

Take the chance and expand your creative talents! You can read more about how to illustrate an entry here: A87766528 and even consider joining the Artists volunteer scheme, which you can read about here: A87725073 All sorts of illustrations are considered, computer graphics, watercolours, pencil, oil painting - all "real life" works of art need to be scanned - and photography.

I dunno, a couple of my photographs have been used, and believe me I am nothing special as a photographer. Go for it, I say.

In fact, I am going to send a picture of the Christmas pudding I made yesterday. Once I have checked to ake sure I haven;t got one with holly and such in the bowels of my computer somewhere.

That sounds smiley - erm..creative!!.....smiley - biggrinwhere's me crayons.........

sometimess just a suggestion of how you want your entry illustrated helps, a rough doodle... and I could tart it....no sorry...I would be willing to enhance the doodle, in a positive way to reflect the important essence of your entry to encourage people to read it, thus giving the reader a wider understanding of the world we live in !

Yup...all that from a simple suggestion! smiley - winkeye

...bring on the hedgehogs

My beauty is a needle in the eye of the beholder...I'm not sure enough tarting exists in the world to save my artwork smiley - biggrin

I have been more and more impressed since the artists managed to start adding artwork to every entry...especially mine smiley - biggrin - and it was even better when the wrong sport picture got added to the wrong sport entry smiley - biggrin

Exactly Rosie! It gives the smiley - artist team a starting point and it's what *you* would do if you could; it's your Entry after all.

Think of it as commissioning a private piece of art smiley - biggrin

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - bigeyes There is no excuess for anyone to not be able to do a photo for an entry... If I've managed to have, I think two photos accepted now, for a couple of entrys I did... I mean... if even I can somehow manage to actually take a photo smiley - snorksmiley - weird Although I do fear my kitchen worktop is getting far too much publicity as a background to pictures of various breads smiley - snork I must remember to clean it if I need to use it for a backdrop to anymore photos smiley - snorksmiley - blushsmiley - artist
