I like unexpected posts also. This one was interesting. Woke me up. . It just said Test. (with a surreal hint of detected bugs). . I'm like huh? . .
I felt like part of the band. Someone doing a sound check, checking the mics ..

Do you think they're testing us? To see if we're still paying attention and can still use our brains? Well, I'm not sure about that...

CASSEROLEON Posted Sep 13, 2012
Reminds one of Noah's Ark and sending out the Dove to answer the question "Is there anyone out there?"
All very appropriate in these times when politicians fear another "Deluge" and descent into World Chaos like 1932-33.
Didn't Noah send a "bird in black" first? But "birds in black" may be selfish or clannish in outlook too, thinking first of saving themselves and their own kind.
The Dove which became the bird of love brought back an Olive Branch that became an act of peaceful reconciliation.
With mention of bands with electric amplification this all comes back to the London Games which sent its message out to a global audience.. Testing. Testing. Are there any other lovers of love and peace out there?

Has anyone else read Arthur Miller's account of how his father [to whom he paid tribute in "Death of a Salesman"] was left behind in Eastern Europe when the family moved to New York? They did not have anough money for one more ticket. When they had enough they sent it back to the extended family, and this small Jewish boy of ten was put on a train that would take him towards Hamburg. As he spoke no German they placed a card around his neck asking politely in German for anyone who could to help him along his way.
In a culture in which we are encouraged to worry about 10 year old children being out on their own for any length of time it is food for thought.

So long as we get a warming when its a 'test to destruction'.... otherwise we might all be over-welked by the testing

I expected this to be a long-lost friend checking if their account was still working. Instead I find a bug test, which morphs into sci-fi and Arthur Miller.
Don't you just love h2g2 conversations?
