It doesn't specify they have to be intelligent annoucements, indeed with Pastey in charge they're almost guaranteed not to be

In view of the Hillsborough Report yestterday perhaps this applies to "Boys in Blue" as well as "Men in Black".. When the two either get together, or fall apart, the results can be disastrous..

Here in Croydon we are still awaiting clarification as to just why the local police sent away the reinforcements that might have stopped the attack on the town centre.

I approach tests with some trepidation nowadays. Even though I'm past 60, I *still* have nightmares in which I'm taking the most important test of my life 
and none of it makes sense. 
Not that life makes sense when I'm *awake*. 
Even crossword puzzles are getting harder, because so many of the clues refer to TV shows that I've never watched. I'm doubly afraid of UK-centric puzzles, because I have no way of seeing UK TV shows on the west side of the Atlantic....

Being from the other side of the pond, it's quite possible that on those occasions when I indulge in whiskey, it's not the same kind. On those rare occasions when I do, it's sour mash whiskey (bourbon).
Vodka, I'll drink it if it's there but won't fight you for it. Tequila, on the other hand, as long as it's good stuff... *puts on boxing gloves*.
