I'd buck the stuff out on the road. I'm sure he'd soon find a window in his diary to get it shifted then.
Pity about the timing - in another month or two the neighbours would be collecting for the bonfire.

Took me a second to realise what on Earth you were going on about there - I was thinking "Bonfire Night's ages away, isn't it, oh god, I've missed my exams, ahhhhh (etc)...hang on, ah yes it's the rebellious lot across the water)

Bonfires are lit the night before June 24th. After jumping over them all the fly to Blocksberg (aka Brocken) in the Harz, Germany, on their broomsticks

Do you take part as a German, Dutch or US'ian ?
I take it the Scandinavian - or at least the Danish - have to wait till June 23rd because there isn't room for all the of the world on just one date
Does this make sense?

The Swedish go to BlÄkulla (whereever that might be ) on the Thursday before easter. Bonfires are on April 30. Midsummer eve (now a moving holiday, always a Friday near summer solstice, used to be the same date as St Hans eve in Denmark) is for Maypoles and dancing. We're all mixed up.

We certainly are - and what a blessing that is: Since I am half Danish, half German and half Polish and with family in England, Canada and the US I have at least three different Father's Days to celebrate
