Angel or Star?

Being more of a scientist than a theologist, I plump for the star. Its five points accurately depict the model I have formed of these giant gaseous spheres.

At home we've got a paper angel that my daughter made a few weeks ago at the town's Christmas light switch on festive event, though we normally have a little tin .
Before we got the tin we had a plastic which is on top of the in my office.
I'll be honest – I like Christmas decorations to have faces. Around the tree I prefer to have little figures rather than baubles, which to me seem a load of balls, and also prefer an angel rather than a faceless star.

I come from a (fairly) long line of atheists. We always used to have a fairy on the top of our tree.

In my family we used to alternate between an angel and a star
When I used to put up my little tree for me and my partner, I also alternated angel and star, as I got tiny versions of each. These days I prefer to simply decorate my mantelpiece with angels that people have given me over the years

When my children were small, my mother made an angel for the top of our tree. The head and face was carved from a bit of white domestic candle. The frock (angels wear frocks right?) was made from a cut off from a net curtain.
She's not an artist. The angel wasn't really awfully attractive.
For years we had an angel at the top of the tree that looked rather like Sylvester Stalone in drag.

None of the above. I buy upright Junipers or Arborvitae in planters, usually with big red bows attached to the tops.

We've had both over the past 30-some years. Most often, a star of some sort. Just what fits the tree best in any given year.

For many years we have had a crystal star hanging in the bay window of our dining room. Every year we put the Christmas tree underneath it for a few weeks.

Fairy! We have had a star in the past, but probably the fairy 7/9 of the previous Christmases.
has a mini-tree in his room and he has a Christmas tree on top of his. He made it at nursery a couple of years ago. I'm sure he'll replace it with something else one day.

I have a gold wicker star. I did buy a fairy with a red dress & maribou trim but she looks awkward up there so now stands on the shelf above the TV
