Things like proper accessible door handles should be law in all public buildings.

I believe the round ball-shaped door knob was designed to allow
the maximum application of torque over a broader surface than a
single lever handle was able to apply.
It was also less subject to breaking off from over exertion and long
term stress at the weakest point along the shaft, as well as being
less susceptible to any wasted pivotal motion in and out of the
basically 2 dimensional plane of rotation.

So long as they don't wish you to "have a nice day" in a smug voice.

One of the doors at my local supermarket is supposed to open automatically when it senses a shopper, but it no longer does that. There's a sign on it that says "Push." I grudingly push, and find that the *next* door has no such sign, but also needs pushing .
