...wearing shorts?
It's so fracking warm here in England at the mo, that I'm thinking of cutting some jeans down* (again ) I've got good legs, short ones, but still good looking ones. I won't wear them in public (much)
*the jeans I'm thinking of cutting down were cut down last year so my son could could wear 'em

Nah, I don't see why they should stop at a certain age.
That would be a bit like saying once you reach a particular age you should wear a paper bag over your head.

Having met you, I'd say you'd look a lot better in shorts than many the people I've seen wearing them today. If they can, you can.

Never too old, but be careful about shape & length.
There's quite a difference between hot pants, knee length fitted & empire building!

You can be too old. But you, Mag, are not too old.
Now that's the answer you wanted, wasn't it?

What a strange question. (I knew the answer was "No" before I even opened the page, mind you. The title alone was enough for that.)

To be honest, it's probably a climactic question. People in their 80s seem to make no bones about wearing shorts down under or in the States. It's just that we so rarely have weather that makes shorts an option, that they seem a bit odd to a lot of people.

More like encouragement.
But take it as a challenge if it helps to push back the boundaries of what is expected when we are regarded as grown-ups. (Over-rated if you ask me).

The reason so many octogenarians wear shorts down under is that they'd look silly if they wore them on their head.
