Apparently the talk around the world is pretty clear on the reasons for the Murdoch divorce.

The only surprise is that Blair is alleged to have had an affair with Murdoch's wife. I was pretty sure it would be with Rupe himself.

Any more to this than just gossip?

It's a story about someone's divorce and who slept with whom. Pretty much "gossip" by definition, no?

(Ironically enough, the kind of gossip that made Rupert Murdoch his billions...)

Every time I see 'new' spelt "nu", it makes me think of "Nu-Metal". That would mean that "Nu-Labour" would be to old Labour what Linkin Park are to Iron Maiden. What a thought!

If true, Cherie will make him the poorest ex-PM ever. Maybe explains his extraordinarily complex tax affairs though.

I thought Blair was supposed to be a moral crusader? I know he comes across as a political chancer.

Blair's Catholic and everyone knows that to be a good Catholic you know the rules are for other people.

Still, pretty sickening isn't it? I'd be surprised if he had it in him: I'd have bet money that Cherie had his bits safely under lock and key.

That link took me to the Daily Mirror website where my attention was drawn to another story that showed Nigella Lawson being murdered (allegedly) by her husband ... asking that viewers click on something to witness her being throttled. All very strange:

With regard to the Blair - Murdoch union ... I am more interested in finding out whether Rupert Murdoch influenced any government policy during Blairs time as PM. These types of unions between politicians and wealthy and influential outsiders seem to be very common and potentially leads to corruption.

The Wendi Deng Murdoch back story is interesting:

How big is the bed in question? If new partners get added, will it need to be reinforced? Is there a political aspect, or does it boil down to not being able to account for tastes.
