Multidimensional Adverbs
Icy North Started conversation Jul 25, 2011
Fun with words
Some adverbs work on more than one level, depending on the context in which you use them. For instance:
"I'm not a qualified electrician", he said darkly.
"I thought your dog was was house trained", she screeched onomatopoeically.
"The brakes - they're stuck fast!"
So, can you provide any further examples?
