Hi,
Competition is a very good word Walter, sometimes it brings out the best in us and sometimes it brings out the worst.
Hahahahahah
Don't worry you are loved for who you are. Well I do and I'm sure Pan does also.
Hi Pandora,
huggs and kisses all round

"Hi Moondancer...I gusset you're right, I do love Walter for who he is."
(gusset-gusset-gusset...I like it, I like it!)

Hi all,
I know I'm a bit late on this one, and have read the previous entries just to check I'm not repeating anyone (very polite, me...)
Astonishing, to start off with, has a lovely silvery feel to it.
Seldom is not used enough (in fact, seldom used).
And some words that make me laugh:
flannel
balcony
spatula
broccoli
spaniel
tuba
beagle.

Foible
There's one episode of Suddenly Susan where Luis is saying something about a foible and Todd finds it funny and after that it sounds funny to Luis as well.
And as for Latin:
Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur.
(Whatever is said in Latin sounds profound.)

I have a particular liking for "absquatulate". Much more dignified than "skedaddle". Though I have been known to do both....
