I have the Sony PRS 300, Count Zero.

I'm very happy with it. It can read all formats (or the most common ones).

There was another, larger version, with more storage and you were able to add a memory card, but Sony discontinued it. The next larger version is the PRS 600 (I think), and that comes with a touch screen which didn't get any good reviews.

Hwever, for my purposes, the Sony is perfect.

Here's an interesting comparison of Kindle and iPad displays under magnification. Also compared to traditional print media.

Damn Im in work and cant read any of the links.

I would love an e-book but the cost puts me of. Also the fact that if I wait a year much better ones will be out (buts thats the same with all technology now)

What I would love would be to scan the ibans (think thats correct..bar codes then lol) off the current books you own and for a small charge you can upload them all to the ebook. I have over 400 books and do not want to give them up or spend money to download them again to the e-book (I read most books around 5 times). I imagine it could be easily done and to avoid going into a book shop and scanning them, they can all chipped to say they are not yours.

So this bad boy is nearly half as much again as the entry level kindle. Why don't amazon support flipping epub. Would be work getting one if they did.

Well, I'm glad that they didn't go with the name "BlackPad" as was previously rumored.

This, I found a more thought-provoking article than some might assume given the title and subject.
The title is "Kindlerotica".

I have a Samsung Galaxy S mobile. On the Android App Market, you can download a free Amazon Kindle app. If you have an Amazon account, you can then download books. I downloaded a bunch of the free ones (Sherlock Holmes, Arabian Nights, Grimm's Fairtales, Pride and Prejudice etc) and am very happy with it!
