How do you tell someone you´re on a date?

Sorry Otto I never meant and indeed did nto say some people would not have different experiences to mine, but I still maintain that a lot of people have very different experiences to yours.
Lets not forget that a great number of people *STILL* live in communities where they are restricted to arranged marriages. Dating and courting are fairly new phenomena worlwide.
Dating is a bit like a mans fancy silk tie or a womans fancy hair-do. None serve any practical purpose and though they seem appealing they actually get in the way a lot of the time.
It brings to my mind the oficial health adivice regarding conception apparently alcohol is to be avoided. I seem to find that many people owe their conception to being rat arsed and randy.
How do you tell someone you´re on a date?

Xan- it may be she got the point and is trying to let you down without hurting you. She doesn't feel 'that way' about you.
Incidently - I'm afraid it isn't fair - some men get laid, by the most unlikely women, and some men don't. I never understood why any of my girlfriends consented to having a relationship with me. (Except one and she was strange. Pretty, but strange.)
