4 quick Yes or No questions I need answered for a college project
Richenda Started conversation Apr 29, 2008
1.Do you or anyone in your family have cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, alzheimer's disease, parkinson's desease, spinal-cord injuries, birth defects, been burned severely, or blind?
2. If science offered you a free cure, but it involved killing another human being to cure you, would you take it?
3. If science offered you a free cure, but it MIGHT involve killing another human being, would you take it?
4. If science offered you a free cure and it did not involve any killing, would you take it?

That list sounds a bit suspicious. Too damn obviously skewed.
What's the agenda/ulterior motive?
What do you mean "killing another human being"
Are you trying to use me as evidence that 101% of people don't want to use stem cells from Any Sort of foetus? Under Any Circumstances?
I'm not answering 2 & 3 until I know... so:
no / conscientious objection / conscientious objection / yes

Is there a Richenda agenda?

Richenda Posted Apr 29, 2008
I am simply trying to gather opinions on the subject for a research project. Just play along with the parameters of the question. There is no hidden agenda.
If the cure cost money, depending on how rich you were, it could possibly skew the results.
So, based on the ASSUMPTION the cure is free,
If you had a debilitating disease that could be cured, how far would you go to have a cure.
Would you accept a cure that would kill another to save you?
Would you accept a cure the MIGHT kill another to save you (but you would have no way to know if it did or not).
Would you accept a cure knowing it did not harm anyone or anything.

Well...not to play devils advocate...but doesn't it really come down to at what point do these cells become human...and we all have a different opinion as to what point that is.

Thought I could clarify on my answers earlier....::
1.Do you or anyone in your family have cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, alzheimer's disease, parkinson's desease,
spinal-cord injuries, birth defects, been burned severely, or blind?
Yes, to all of them, cept (as far as I know parkensons disease). Me in one case, in the others other family members. Not sure if the burns I got really count as severe though they did heal eventually...
2. If science offered you a free cure, but it involved killing another human being to cure you, would you take it?
Yes. People are killed for no reason every day, might as well put the organs of, E.g., a road traffic accident victum to use.
3. If science offered you a free cure, but it MIGHT involve killing another human being, would you take it?
Yes. See above.
4. If science offered you a free cure and it did not involve any killing, would you take it?
Obviously yes.
Of course, any answers are dependant on how the answering individual inturprits the questions, some here seem to pressume/assume you mean that the 'killing' bit (the contentious bit in teh two questions in the middle), is somehow connected to stem Cells. I can't see how it is myself as I don't view that as killing.

2legs, you are likely to be in a more honest position than most!
For us it is supposition... For you, it could be reality!!!
And I agree with your logic as well....
